A contact switch, contact switch system, and interactive building block system carrying the contact switch based on UHF RFID technology for detecting mutual contact events are provided. The contact switch system includes a plurality of contact switches each including a chip and an antenna not connected to the chip. When the contact switch is in contact with another contact switch, the chip is connected to another antenna of the another contact switch and the antenna is connected to another chip of the another contact switch. The chip receives and converts a radio wave from the another antenna into power, and the power converts identifying information of the chip into a radio wave, which is sent to a reader. When the reader reads two encoded identifying information at the same time, whether the two contact switches are in contact with each other is determined by the contact switch system.

A method and an electronic device for enhancing efficiency of searching for a region of interest in a virtual environment are provided. The virtual environment includes a visible scene and an invisible scene. A picture-in-picture (PIP) is displayed in the visible scene as a directional guidance or distance hint related to the region of interest in the invisible scene, thereby saving time and enhancing efficiency of searching for the region of interest.

An input device for a finger touch interface includes a magnetic unit worn on a tip of a user's thumb for establishing a magnetic field, at least a first magnetic field sensing unit worn on the tip of any finger except the thumb and at least a second magnetic field sensing unit worn on a segment of any finger except the thumb. The first/second magnetic field sensing unit is used to detect magnetic flux density of the magnetic field so as to generate a corresponding signal as an input instruction.

A geometric structure analyzing method, a geometric structure analyzing system, and a computer program product are provided, to analyze a two-dimensional geometric structure of a model composed of at least one magnetic building block. A magnetic field intensity image of the model is obtained, and a shape of the magnetic field intensity image is used as a contour of the model. The contour of the model is skeletonized to obtain the two-dimensional geometric structure of the model, and the two-dimensional geometric structure is displayed on a display panel. Therefore, a user is allowed to control the two-dimensional geometric structure on the display panel by manipulating the model, to achieve interactive effects including visual and tactile feedbacks.

Disclosed is a near-surface object sensing device, including a printed circuit board, a plurality of magnetic sensors arrayed on the printed circuit board to sense the magnetic field of an external magnetic object and generate a magnetic sensing signal, a multiplexer connected to the magnetic sensors for selecting and outputting the magnetic sensing signal, and a microprocessor connected to the multiplexer for receiving the magnetic sensing signal, wherein the microprocessor includes a sampling algorithm module for converting the magnetic sensing signal into a magnetic field distribution image, and a six-dimensional coordinate-calculating module for calculating six-dimensional coordinates of the external magnetic object. The sensing device of the invention is compact, low energy consuming and can accurately provide users with a convenient and intuitive user interface with three dimensional locations and position information in a near-surface space.

Near-surface object sensing device and sensing method

A stylized QR code generating apparatus is provided, which includes: an image adjusting module having an image detecting unit and a shape distorting unit; and a code stylizing module having a boundary matching unit and a boundary adjusting unit. The image detecting unit detects an error value generated in a QR code when a predetermined image is embedded in the QR code, and the shape distorting unit distorts a plurality of meshes converted from the image to adjust a shape of the image and thereby correct the error value in the QR code. The boundary matching unit matches a plurality of first boundary sections of the QR code with second boundary sections of a predetermined pattern, and the boundary adjusting unit adjusts the first boundary sections to the matched second boundary sections, respectively.

Stylized QR code generating apparatus and method thereof

A method of full-frame video stabilization with a polyline-fitted camcorder path is disclosed. The regions was first considered of interest in the video to estimate which regions or objects the user wants to capture, and then use a polyline to estimate a new stable camcorder motion path while avoiding the user's interested regions or objects being cut out. Then, the dynamic and static missing areas caused by frame alignment from other frames were filled to keep the same resolution and quality as the original video. Furthermore, the discontinuous regions were smoothed by using a three-dimensional Poisson-based method. After the above automatic operations, a full-frame stabilized video could be achieved and the important regions and objects could also be preserved.

A method in a video playback system for playing a video with a specific playback speed in accordance with a video feature and a playback record is described. The system allows the playback record records a preceding playback speed corresponding to the video previously played to learn user preferences for a user. This makes the specific playback speed more suitable for the user without any adjustment. In addition, the system also allows the user input a resetting playback speed to actively adjust the specific playback speed if the original specific playback speed is not suitable for the user.
