A method includes steps of: measuring a variation in joint angle of a knee of a cyclist to obtain joint angle data; sensing a torque applied on a crank of a cycle or pedaling force applied to a pedal of the cycle to obtain force data; measuring an angular position of the crank to obtain crank angle data; measuring an electrical potential variation of a measured muscle of the cyclist to generate a measured EMG signal; estimating activation data and joint moment data based on aforementioned data and characteristics data; converting the activation data into estimated EMG signals based on the measured EMG signal and the activation data; and computing a coactivation parameter based on the aforementioned EMG signals.

Method and system for determining data associated with lower limb activity

The present invention provides a minimally invasive surgical instrument with a terminal steerable mechanism, comprising an intervention device, a control device and one or more wires. The strip-shaped intervention device sequentially includes a main section, a flexible section and an operation section from the top to the end. The control device includes a sphere with a preset rotational degree of freedom, and an operating lever connected to the sphere. Said one or more wires are extended along the main section of the intervention device. Here, the second ends of said at least one or more wires are connected to the flexible section or the operation section of the intervention device, and the first ends thereof are connected to at least a part of the control device.

Minimally invasive surgical instruments with terminal steerable mechanism

A method of recommending an assistive device for a user includes: (A) providing a recommendation system that includes a measuring device, an output device and a processing device; (B) the measuring device performing measurement associated with a body part of a user to generate measurement information associated with the body part of the user; (C) the processing device receiving the measurement information from the measuring device, and generating recommendation of an assistive device according to the measurement information; and (D) the output device outputting a message associated with the recommendation.

Method of recommending an assistive device

The present invention provides a wrapping device for wrapping body parts. Said wrapping device comprises a rotation module having a first roller ring, a second roller ring, and a plurality of connecting parts; a driving module driving at least one of the first roller ring and the second roller ring to revolve; and at least a pressing device disposed on the second roller ring. In said wrapping device, the first roller ring and the second roller ring are separately and coaxially disposed, while the opposite ends of each of the plurality of connecting parts are separately connected to the first roller ring and the second roller ring. In addition, the first roller ring includes a first ring hole surrounded and formed by a first inner ring wall, and the second roller ring includes a second ring hole surrounded and formed by a second inner ring wall. Said at least a pressing device protrudes toward an inner space of the second ring hole.

Wrapping device for wrapping body parts

A noninvasive stereotactic assembly for guiding an instrument to a target within a patient's head includes a head frame subassembly and an instrument positioning subassembly. The head frame subassembly is secured to a skull in the patient's head to determine an X-axis and a Y-axis of a three-dimensional coordinate system. According to the coordinate of the target in the three-dimensional coordinate system, ring members, a movable bracket, a swivel member, and an instrument holder of the instrument positioning subassembly are displaced by predetermined angles to guide the instrument toward the target.

Noninvasive stereotactic assembly

A pressure and shear force measurement device and a pressure and shear force measurement method are disclosed. The measurement device includes a flexible substrate; a plurality of signal outputting units embedded in the flexible substrate for outputting signals; and a plurality of signal detectors disposed at a peripheral of the flexible substrate for receiving at least a signal outputted from the signal outputting units, wherein when the flexible substrate has a load applied thereon and each of the signal outputting units has a displacement, each of the signal detectors detects a pressure and a shear force resulting from the load on the flexible substrate based on the signal received from the signal outputting units.

Pressure and shear force measurement device and method

The present invention provides and apparatus for distinguishing falls from activities of daily living (ADLs). First, the human movements and muscle activities would be obtained by an electromyography measuring unit and/or an inertia measuring unit to record ADLs, and falls would be distinguished from ADLs to trigger the protecting devices in time to prevent or decrease injury. In addition, the apparatus would be preset for different operational conditions to adapt different users by a setting unit to increase accuracy. Finally, the moving distance and the direction of the user would be obtained by the electromyography measuring unit and/or the inertia measuring unit to obtain the location thereof in an interior space.
