A kiosk apparatus that may select for a person a recommended footcare product based on pressure measurements collected from pressures sensors or calculated biomechanical data estimates. Pressure measurements and calculated biomechanical data estimates may be used to determine if a foot is unshod on the pressure sensor and also group a person into a classified subgroup. The pressure measurement and calculated biomechanical data estimates may also be used to select a recommended footcare product.

An orthotic is disclosed. The orthotic may include a cushioning layer configured to extend from at least the metatarsal region to the proximal heel region, the cushioning layer having a heel region with a protruding heel piece integrally molded as part of the cushioning layer. The orthotic may also include an outer shell layer fixedly coupled to the cushioning layer, the outer shell layer extending longitudinally from at least the medial cuneiform-first metatarsal joint region to the calcaneus bone region of the user, the outer shell layer configured to receive the protruding heel piece.

Cushioned orthotic

A removable insole for insertion into footwear, includes a forefoot portion extending at least to metatarsals of a foot, the forefoot portion including a combination layer formed from a bottom layer of a resilient foam material which provides a shock absorption cushioning function, and a top layer of a slow recovery material which absorbs shear forces applied to the second layer at pressure points and spreads out the shear forces along the forefoot portion, the top layer being of substantially the same dimensions as the bottom layer and superposed therewith, the bottom and top layers having the same thickness and outer dimensions; a cupped heel portion formed by a relatively flat central portion and a sloped side wall; a mid-foot portion connecting together the forefoot portion and the heel portion, the mid-foot portion including a medial arch portion and being connected to the forefoot portion at the medial arch portion, the heel portion and mid-foot portion together being formed by a unitary layer of resilient material, and the sloped side wall extending around a periphery of the heel portion and forwardly to at least the mid-foot portion of the insole; and a top cover secured to upper surfaces of the forefoot portion, mid-foot portion and heel portion.

Full length insole for arthritic and/or diabetic people

A removable insole for insertion into footwear, includes a forefoot portion extending at least to metatarsals of a foot, with a second recess at an undersurface thereof with a plurality of cylindrical protuberances in the recess; a cupped heel portion including a relatively flat central portion and a sloped side wall surrounding the relatively flat central portion; a mid-foot portion connecting together the forefoot portion and the heel portion, the mid-foot portion including a medial arch portion defined by an extension of the sloped side wall, the sloped side wall extends to lateral and medial sides of the mid-foot portion, and the forefoot portion, heel portion and mid-foot portion formed from a unitary resilient material; a shell that extends along an underside of the insole, the medial arch portion and the sloped side wall at the heel portion and the mid-foot portion, the shell having an opening beneath the relatively flat central portion of the cupped heel portion and a gap at a rearmost end of the shell so as to define flanges on opposite sides of the insole at the heel portion, the unitary resilient material extending out through the opening in the shell, and includes a recess at an undersurface thereat with a plurality of cylindrical protuberances in the recess, and the shell being made of a flexible material that is stiffer than the unitary resilient material; and a top cover secured to upper surfaces of the forefoot portion, mid-foot portion and heel portion.
