The present invention provides a lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation comprising at least one sialic acid (SA)-containing lipid. The LNP formulation is capable of effectively binding cell surface Siglecs, transfecting certain cells in vitro and targeting certain cells in vivo. The present invention also provides methods of using the LNP compositions described herein for pharmaceutical applications. For example, the LNPs provided herein are useful for the intracellular delivery of a nucleic acid therapeutic to a subject.

Lipid nanoparticle compositions and uses thereof

Methods of treating metabolic diseases and disorders using a composition comprising an antigen binding protein specific for the GIPR polypeptide conjugated to a GLP-1 receptor agonist are provided. This invention provides methods for producing a polymer particle which contains unusually high negative charges on the surface of the particle. Preferably, the polymer is pharmaceutically acceptable. The negative charges can be conferred by chemical groups such as carboxyl, sulfonate, nitrate, fluorate, chloride, iodide, persulfate, and many others, with carboxyl group being preferred.
