Novel compounds useful as hosts in OLEDs having Formula I

Host materials for electroluminescent devices

High performance OLED that includes deuterated compounds in the emissive layer are disclosed. The OLED includes an anode; a cathode; and an emissive layer, disposed between the anode and the cathode. In the OLED, the emissive layer includes a first phosphorescent emitter and a first host; the first phosphorescent emitter is a metal complex; the first host is partially or fully deuterated; and at least one additional condition is true.

Organic electroluminescent materials and devices

Provided are compounds of formula Ir(L)(L), where m and n are each independently 1 or 2; and m+n=3; where Lhas a structure of Formula I and Lhas a structure of Formula II that are useful as emitters in OLEDs. Also provided are formulations comprising these compounds. Further provided are OLEDs and related consumer products that utilize these compounds.

A compound of Formula I is disclosed where R, R, R, and Reach independently represent mono to a maximum possible number of substitutions, or no substitution; where two of Xto Xare carbon, and the other two are nitrogen; where L is an organic linker; where R, R, R, R, and Rare each independently a hydrogen or a substituent selected from the group consisting of deuterium, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, heterocycloalkyl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, silyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, acyl, carboxylic acid, ether, ester, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, phosphino, and combinations thereof; where Rdoes not comprise a dibenzothiophene group; and where any adjacent substituents are optionally joined or fused into a ring.

Organic host materials for electroluminescent devices

A compound comprising a heteroleptic iridium complex having a structure of Formula II, is provided. In Formula II, each of R, R, R, R, R, and R, is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, deuterium, cycloalkyl, deuterated cycloalkyl, alkyl, and deuterated alkyl; at least one of R, R, R, R, R, and Ris not hydrogen or deuterium; and each R and R' is independently selected from a variety of substitutions. OLEDs and formulations containing the compound of Formula II are also provided.

Provided are novel silane derived compounds. Also provided are OLEDs and related consumer products that contain these novel silane derived compounds. Further provided are formulations comprising these novel silane derived compounds.

This invention discloses iridium complexes containing phenylpyridine ligand wherein there is an aryl or heterocyclic ring fused into phenyl ring. The iridium complexes showed desired device performance.

Provided are phenylthienothiazole containing compounds. The compound of the present invention comprises a first phenylthienothiazole-derived ligand Laccording to Formula I as described herein which is coordinated to Ir to form a 5-membered chelate ring. Also provided are formulations comprising these compounds. Further provided are OLEDs and related consumer products that utilize these compounds.

The present invention includes a novel series of host materials for OLEDs based on substituted fused 1,2,4-triazines, represented by Formula I. The invention also includes an organic light-emitting device comprising an anode, a cathode, and an organic layer, disposed between the anode and the cathode, comprising a compound of Formula I. The compounds of the invention may improve the device EQE and lifetime.

A composition is disclosed that includes a first compound capable of functioning as a host in an emissive layer of an OLED at room temperature; and a second compound that includes a ligand Lof Formula III or Formula V disclosed herein.
