Device for release of a substance

A device for dispensing fluid from a container has a tubular and flexible metering chamber, intended to be squeezed by a hand. The metering chamber is closed by means of a self-closing closure, which however opens in response to a predetermined pressure upon the fluid. A floating body housed in said metering chamber limits the squeezing of the metering chamber and breaks, when floating in a sufficient amount of fluid in the metering chamber, the communication between the container and said metering chamber.

Device for dispensing fluid from a container

A package for dispensing fluids including two concave walls interconnected along their peripheries at least one of the walls being flexible and one of the walls having a closure intended to be opened to dispense fluids when the flexible wall is deformed toward the other wall. Preferably, the flexible wall is resilient, tending to snap over to the corresponding convex position, complementing the other wall when the resilient wall is deformed beyond the intermediate position between the walls. Preferably, also the closure is self-closing and positioned in a neck formed in one wall. A removable seal member may be positioned in the neck to protect the self-closing closure.

Package for fluids and a method for producing such a package

A two-chamber dispensing package comprises a supply chamber and a discharge chamber. The discharge chamber has a discharge opening closed by means of a self-closing closure and communicates with the supply chamber via an opening. The discharge member has a flexible wall which may be manually deformed to generate a pressure upon the content of said discharge chamber thereby opening said closure and discharging content therefrom. The partition between the two chambers may be a curved flexible wall with an opening and the manual pressure may be exerted upon a wall of the package which thereby covers said opening to give an accurately measured discharge from said discharge chamber.

Two-chamber package

A double-walled spraying device having an air space in an outer container formed between resilient side walls, the inner side wall forming an inner container holding a fluid to be sprayed, and an outer container holding air. The top of the device is also double-walled, the inner top wall being substantially rigid and the outer top wall including an annular diaphragm which is conically convex in the normally closed position of the diaphragm. The space between the two top walls comprises a mixing chamber accessible to the fluid in the inner container and to air under manual pressure from the outer container to form a spray through a perforated dome.

Spraying device

A locking device for a self-closing closure of the kind which is provided to be connected to a package and which comprises a diaphragm member and a central member having a stem forming a valve with an opening in said diaphragm member comprising a tubular portion connected to or integral with the diaphragm member and a cylindrical portion connected to or integral with the central member. The tubular and cylindrical portions sealingly engage each other in the closed position of the closure and are each provided with openings. The diaphragm member and the central member are connected to each other in a manner enabling the closure members to be angularly displaced relative to each other. In a first angular position of said members the openings of the tubular and cylindrical portions are in registry thereby establishing free flow communication between the interior of the closure and the interior of the package, and in a second angular position said openings are out of registry thereby preventing flow communication between the interior of the closure and the interior of the package.

Locking device for a self-closing closure

A valve intended to open in response to a pressure difference between the interior of the valve and the exterior thereof comprises a diaphragm which in its closing position is conical. The diaphragm has an opening which is normally closed by means of a valve stem. Arrangements are made to prevent communication between the interior of the valve and the exterior thereof until said diaphragm has been deformed to a substantially planar shape.

A tube container comprises a tubular member having one end thereof flanged inwardly to form an internal flange facing the opposite end of said tubular member and a discharge member, provided with a thin annular flange diverging in the discharge direction of the tube container, such that its maximum dimension exceeds the inner dimension of the tubular member. The discharge member is inserted in the tubular member such that the annular flange thereof is located in the space between the outer wall of the tubular member and the internal flange thereof.

A self-closing closure comprises two annular parts intended to be snapped together one of said parts being integral with a conical diaphragm having a central sleeve-shaped part with a discharge opening whereas the other one has radial spokes ending in a central part from which a stem projects. The end of said stem normally fills the opening of the sleeve and, to obtain an improved discharge function the end of the stem is substantially cylindrical and continues in a slightly conical part whereas the discharge opening has a cylindrical end portion smoothly continuing inwardly in a conical portion the inner envelope surface of the discharge opening being convex to establish a linear contact with the conical part of the stem. The end portion of the stem may be tubular.

Self-closing closures

A self-closing closure for use with a container, the closure opening automatically upon the application of opening pressure to the contents of the container and being self-closing upon the release of pressure. A pair of resilient discs or diaphragms are employed which in the closed position have their convex surfaces facing each other. One of these discs carries the valve opening and the other disc supports the valve stem which projects into and seals the opening in the closed position of the closure. Upon the application of opening pressure to the container contents, the resilient discs move axially of the closure and the convex surfaces change to concave surfaces. The valve stem is drawn away from the opening. The large axial movement of the discs is attained with minimal pressure yet secures a large opening area for dispensing the contents.
