A hydrodynamic bearing constructed for withstanding varying radial loads has first and second bearing halves arranged on a central axis and encircling a shaft member, each half having an inner bearing face, first and second ends, and first and second sides. A slot of specific construction is formed in the bearing face of at least one of the bearing halves providing a fluid trap for reducing cavitation erosion during use.

Hydrodynamic bearing having anticavitation recesses

A receptacle is provided to receive and reinforce an engine fluid cooling radiator core. The core is secured within the receptacle and mounted adjacent an implement fluid cooling core. The implement cooling core and the receptacle are connected by at least one, but preferably two connector bars. The connector bars are resiliently connected to an associated supportive frame.

A method of making a heat exchanger sheet is disclosed including progressively forming an elongated flat sheet of metal into a continuously corrugated sheet having a plurality of deeply drawn convolutions which extend across the sheet, and compressing the periphery of the corrugated sheet to provide a substantially flattened edge portion while retaining a centrally disposed corrugated portion with minimal cold working thereof. Preferably, the sheet made thereby has convolutions with slightly sloping walls to better provide a geometrically uniform overlapped pattern in the flattened edge portion thereof.
