There is provided mechanisms for average EIRP control of at least two radio power sources. A method is performed by a coordinating controller of a site. The site comprises the at least two radio power sources. The method comprises obtaining, from a respective inner controller of each of the at least two radio power sources, power control feedback information. The method comprises determining, according to an inner control loop for each of the at least two radio power sources, coordinating control information from the power control feedback information. The method comprises performing individual average power control of each of the at least two radio power sources by providing, to each respective inner controller, the coordinating control information, whereby total average transmission power of each of the at least two radio power sources is selectively adjusted based on the inner control loop.

The present application discloses methods and apparatus for modifying a normal link adaptation process of a wireless device (). The normal link adaptation process may be used to compensate for a fast fading dip detected by a base station (). The present application teaches that the normal fast fading compensation may cause inter-cell interference and degrade system performance. The present application discloses imposing a fast fading restriction or limitation on the normal fast fading compensation can reduce inter-cell interference, improve system capacity, and extends the battery life of the wireless device.

The present disclosure relates to a method and user equipment, UE, in a wireless communication network of performing power scaling on uplink transmission to a receiving radio access node, RAN. In particular, the disclosure relates to a method and user equipment for power scaling on uplink transmissions on a multi-radio access bearer, multi-RAB, wherein a Dedicated Physical Data Channel, DPDCH, and enhanced Data Channels, E-DCHs are configured for uplink transmission from the UE to the receiving RAN. The method comprises determining a total UE transmit power exceeding a predetermined maximum power limit value. The total UE transmit power is reduced to the predetermined maximum power limit value by reducing one or more E-DPDCH gain factors by an equal scaling factor. When a predetermined minimum E-DPDCH gain factor, 'smallest quantised &#x3b2;ed,k value', is reached for all E-DPDCH gain factors &#x3b2;ed,k, and DTX is applied for all E-DPDCHs, the method comprises applying DTX on E-DPCCH.
