A device includes a power module to produce a switched voltage and to convert the switched voltage into a waveform adapted to wirelessly pass through a structure. The device may include a data module to receive a wireless signal through the structure, where the wireless signal includes information, and to send the information toward a destination.

Methods and apparatuses for processing multi-channel data are provided. A group of input signals are sampled. An average spectrum of the sampled group of input signals sampled over a predetermined number of time intervals is determined. An autocorrelation function based on the average spectrum and an average covariance based on results of the autocorrelation function over the predetermined number of time intervals may also be determined. A value based on a multinormal distribution of the sampled group of signal inputs sampled over the predetermined number of time intervals is determined.

Methods and apparatus for signal processing of multi-channel data

A radio communication network includes a plurality of base station receivers coupled to a switch for communication with at least one mobile station. A network monitoring device queries the switch for data related to the radio coverage provided by the communication network and, in response, the switch sends the data to the monitoring device. A report is generated that is related to the data received by the switch. The report indicates areas of the communication network providing deficient or redundant radio coverage in the communication network.

Method and apparatus for optimizing radio frequency (RF) coverage in a radio communication network

A transformer for substantially matching the impedance of a generator and a load, which is coupled to the generator via a transmission line. The transformer comprises an outer conductor having an inner surface and an inner conductor having an outer surface that is positioned within the outer conductor. The transformer further includes a plurality of transformation sections, where each section provides a particular separation distance between the inner surface of the outer conductor and the outer surface of the inner conductor to yield a particular characteristic impedance for each of the plurality of transformation sections, thereby substantially matching the impedance of the generator to the load.

Thirty-degree length impedance transformer

A wireless communication system and method for determining a location of a mobile station communicating within the system. The system comprises a plurality of base receivers for receiving wireless communication, a controller, and at least one mobile station for transmitting a signal for receipt by at least two of the base receivers. The base receivers that received the transmitted signal determine a timing error associated with the transmitted signal, and the controller determines a separation distance between the mobile station and each base receiver that received the transmitted signal based at least upon the timing error. The controller further determines the location of the mobile station within the wireless communication network based upon the separation distance between the mobile station and the base receivers that received the transmitted signal.

Method and apparatus to determine mobile user's location in a wireless communication network

A device for impedance matching a signal generator to a plurality of elements of a multi-element load. The device includes an outer conductor having an inner surface and an inner conductor positioned within the outer conductor, and having an outer surface. The device further includes a first and second set of transformation sections, which provide a particular separation distance between the inner surface of the outer conductor and the outer surface of the inner conductor to yield a particular characteristic impedance for each of the first and second sets of transformation sections, thereby substantially matching the impedance of the generator to the elements of the load.

Impedance matching/power splitting network for a multi-element antenna array

A shim-tuned transformer for matching the impedance of a generator and a load coupled to the generator via a transmission line. The transformer includes an outer conductor having an inner surface and an inner conductor positioned within the outer conductor. The transformer further includes at least one shim disposed on the inner surface of the outer conductor and encircling the inner conductor. The at least one shim is slideable along the inner surface of the outer conductor for matching the impedance of the generator and the impedance of the load.
