A flexible grip for a golf club having a tubular member with one or more strips of elastomeric material significantly softer than the elastomeric material of the tubular member provided on the exterior surface of the tubular member. In one version, the strips are on the top flat surface, on other versions, the strips are on the side or both. In another version, an air pocket is provided beneath the strip on the top surface. In another version, a rib or key on a core bar forms a channel on the inner surface of the tubular member during molding. Upon removal of the core bar, a pocket is formed along the grip upon assembly on a club shaft. Upon gripping, the strips and pockets allow depression providing indication of grip pressure. The strips also provide visual aids for user hand positioning.

Golf club grip with pressure aid

A flexible grip for the shaft of a putter having the upper face raised in the upper region adjacent the butt end and the raised portion tapered toward the lower end. The upper face has a flat surface in transverse section along the length of the lower part of the grip which has a constant taper. The lower face is straight along the length of the grip and of uniform thickness. The side faces are tapered consistent with taper of the lower section of the grip.

Flexible grip for a golf club putter shaft

A flexible tubular elastomeric grip for an implement to be manually swung with force and speed, such as a golf club is provided. A flexible tubular member molded of elastomeric material has an open end for receiving the club shaft with a hardness in the range of 38-55 on the Shore 'A' scale and has a substantially closed end which has a greater hardness in the range of 65-100 on the Shore 'A' scale. The closed end may be integrally molded with the tubular member or as one piece or formed pre-cured and adhesively received in the cavity after molding. An open cavity formed in the closed end has received therein an insert which may be a transducer, RFID tag, tracking device, speed/acceleration sensor or decorative item. In one version, a peripheral rim lip retains and secures the insert in the cavity. In another version, inwardly extending arms are formed integrally with the flexible tubular member to retain and secure the insert. Alternately, the arms may be connect to form a bridge over the cavity to retain and secure the insert.

Flexible implement grip

A flexible implement grip is formed with an underlist of one rubber compound wrapped with a skin of a second rubber compound with multi-colored rubber based paint or ink air dried thereon and the assembled grip vulcanized in a mold. In one version, the skin pattern is cut from a sheet of cured rubber and curable adhesive employed with the wrapping. In another version, the multi-colored ink or paint is air dried on an uncured sheet prior to cutting the skin pattern; and, no adhesive is employed with the wrapping and bonding to the underlist occurs during final vulcanizing.

Flexible implement handle grip and method of making same

A method of making a corded surface flexible elastomer golf club grip. An underlist is extruded of seamless tubular uncured elastomer and a pattern of textile cords wound thereon. In one version of the method, an outer seamless tubular extruded uncured elastomer layer is assembled over the cord patterned underlist. A core rod is inserted in the underlist, an uncured elastomer cap assembled on the end and the assemblage cured in a heated compression mold. Upon removal from the mold, some material is removed from the outer surface to expose some of the cord. In another version, the uncured cord wound underlist with core rod is inserted in a mold cavity and a thin outer layer of elastomer injection molded thereover and the assemblage cured in the mold.

Method of making a cord style flexible golf grip

A light weight flexible hand grip and method of making with a single piece precursor grip member having a tubular sleeve portion connected with a tubular grip portion with a wall situated therebetween. An alternate embodiment includes the tubular grip portion attached proximate an open end of the tubular sleeve portion. A core portion is disposed on an outer surface of the tubular sleeve portion and the tubular grip portion is positioned back over the tubular sleeve portion securing the core portion within an annular cavity to form the light weight hand grip.

Light weight grip and method of making same

A heated element includes a thermally and electrically conductive polymer in a shaped or spaced arrangement. The spaced arrangement has at least one string of material with ends that are configured to be electrically connected to a power source. A first end is connected to a positive terminal of the power source while the other end is connected to a negative terminal of the power source. A hand grip includes the heating element disposed on an inner layer, and may include an outer layer. The spaced arrangement may be disposed between the inner and outer layer for indirect heating applications. Alternatively, portions of the spaced arrangement may protrude from either the inner layer or the outer layer for direct heating applications. The heated element may be used with a number of devices, including but not limited to, golf club grips, hand grips, heating pads, blankets, or other applications.
