A cylindrical lock includes a retractor () mounted between inner and outer operational devices () and operably connected to a latch (). The inner operational device () includes an inner chassis (), an inner spindle (), and an inner lining () made of a material harder than the inner spindle (). The outer operational device () includes an outer chassis (), an outer spindle (), and an outer lining () made of a material harder than the outer spindle (). Inner and outer returning devices (A,B) are provided for returning the inner and outer spindles (). A torsion spring (A,B) of each of the inner and outer returning devices (A,B) is mounted to a push ring (A,B) before assembly with the inner and outer chassis (), allowing easy assembly of the torsion springs (A,B).

Durable cylindrical lock

A cylindrical lock includes a retractor () mounted between inner and outer operational devices () and operably connected to a latch (). The outer operational device () includes an outer chassis (), an outer lining () mounted around the outer chassis (), and an outer spindle () received in the outer chassis (). The outer spindle () includes an inner end () received in a pivot hole () of the outer lining (). A restraining protrusion () is formed on an outer periphery of the outer spindle () and abuts an abutment face () of the outer lining (), avoiding movement of the outer spindle () away from the outer chassis () in a longitudinal direction while allowing pivotal movement of the outer spindle () in a correct position.

Outer spindle for a cylindrical lock

A cylindrical lock includes a retractor mounted between inner and outer operational devices and operably connected to a latch. The retractor includes an upper surface having an upper recess. The retractor further includes a lower surface having a lower recess. Two upper compartments are defined in two sidewalls of the upper recess and extend to two lateral surfaces of the retractor, forming two upper tongues. Two lower compartments are defined in two sidewalls of the lower recess and extend to the lateral surfaces of the retractor, forming two lower tongues. First and second rollers are rotatably received in the upper and lower recesses, respectively. A size of an opening of each of the upper and lower compartments is reduced by pressing a distal end of each upper tongue downward and by pressing a distal end of each lower tongue upward, retaining the first and second rollers in place.
