Provided herein is a flame retardant label suitable for labeling electrical devices. The disclose label includes a coating layer, a film layer, an adhesive layer, and, optionally, a liner layer. The coating layer and the adhesive layer may include flame retardants. The flame retardant label may also include channels that provide for air egress during application of the label.

Matte flame retardant label

Provided herein is a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) comprising a polycrylate base polymer, a crosslinker and a fluorescer. The crosslinker does not comprise a metal acetylacetonate, a metal alkoxide, or an alkoxy-metal acetylacetonate, and the fluorescer comprises less than 0.1 wt. % metal oxide based on the solid weight of the adhesive. The adhesive is resistant to yellowing under adverse conditions such as high temperature treatment and/or exposure to UV.

Yellowing resistant PSA

The present application relates to a vulcanization label that can be used to label tires. The label comprises a facestock layer, a first primer layer, a second primer layer comprising a zinc oxide, and a reactive adhesive layer. The two primer layers have different compositions. The second primer layer has a coating weight that is greater than 3 gsm. At least a portion of the second primer is in contact with at least a portion of the reactive adhesive layer.

An aqueous coating composition includes, based on the total weight of the aqueous coating composition, (a) an aqueous polymer dispersion present in an amount of from 15% to 33% by solids weight, wherein the polymer includes at least 95% by solids weight of an acrylic emulsion copolymer based on the solids weight of the polymer; (b) anionic colloidal silica present in an amount of from 1% to 13% by solids weight; (c) a solvent present in an amount of from 0.5% to 9% by weight, wherein the solvent has at least one hydroxyl group and a dielectric constant at 25&#xb0; C. of from 7 to 10.3; (d) a monoamine compound present in an amount of from 0.2% to 1.5% by weight, wherein the monoamine compound is selected from an alkyl monoamine, a beta-hydroxyl monoamine containing up to 2 hydroxyl groups, or mixtures thereof; and (e) water.
