A lawful interception provisioning function, LIPF () and a system information retrieval function, SIRF (), communicate with each other via the X1 and X2 protocols. The LIPF () obtains, from the SIRF (), information pertaining to a network function, NF(), which is an instance of a virtual network function, VNF, in a telecommunicationnetwork (), where said information is unrelated to any LI target and any task associated with a point of interception, POI (), in the NF ().

Obtaining information pertaining to a network function in lawful interception

A method for providing lawful interception, LI, in a radio communication system () with network slices, NSs, (). The method comprises: providing a broker LI provisioning function, bLIPF () connected to an LI centralized function, LICF, (), and to at least one slice LI provisioning function, sLIPF, () implemented on one of the NSs; receiving an LI target identity, if the LICF determines that a party of a network service provided using a network function, NF, () running on the one of the NSs has the LI target identity; and conveying the LI target identity from the bLIPF to the at least one sLIPF, wherein the at least one sLIPF activates a point of interception, POI, () associated with or embedded in the NF to intercept data.

Lawful interception in network slices

A method and apparatus for performing Lawful Interception in a communications network. An Access Transfer Control Function (ATCF) receives an activation message instructing lawful interception. The activation message includes a subject identity. The ATCF sends intercept related information to a Mediation Function at a Lawful Intercept node. The intercept related information relates to a communication session in which the subject participates.

The present invention relates to methods and arrangements to perform monitoring-continuity in case of number portability in a telecommunication system. The method comprises a step wherein a monitored user (B) requires number portability from an operator of a donor network (DNW) to an operator of a recipient network (RNW). The method further comprises the receiving of a number portability event&#x2014;temporary address (NPE) to an agency controlled receiving entity (LEMF, ADRS), which event (NPE) comprises information related to the user's ported identity and the user's new identity.

Methods and devices for controlling a set-up of a call from a calling entity (CE) to a called entity in a telecommunications network are described. The telecommunications network comprises a service control entity (SCE) and a service switching entity (SSE). The service control entity (SCE) is adapted to perform the steps of receiving from the service switching entity (SSE) an indication that the first call attempt failed, receiving from the service switching entity (SSE) an indication of the further call attempt, obtaining call information related to the first call attempt, determining a call establishment procedure for the further call attempt based on the call information related to the first call attempt, sending an instruction to the service switching entity (SSE) to continue the set-up of the further call attempt according to the call establishment procedure.

Controlling a call completion

The invention relates to a method for controlling a multi party call between three or more communication entities within a communications network. The communications network comprise a service control entity and a service switching entity. The service control entity performs: a) receiving a notification of a multi party event associated with the multi party call from the service switching entity, b) determining a procedure for handling the multi party event, c) transmitting instructions to the service switching entity in accordance with the procedure for handling the multi parry event.

Rerouting, as specified by ITU-T Q.730 is a network service that is executed by and under control of switching nodes, whereas IN services are executed under the control of a service control entity and invoked for certain calls only. Because of the two levels of control that are also separate from each other, inconsistencies may occur when an IN service is invoked for a call that may be in addition subject to rerouting. This problem is solved-in that a service control entity is adapted to perform the steps of receiving information relating to the rerouting of the call from the service switching entity, selecting a rerouting procedure for the call according to the received information, and sending an instruction to the service switching entity to continue the call according to the rerouting procedure. The information relating to the rerouting of the call information is in particular information about a rerouting capability of a preceding switching node.

Interaction between network services and intelligent network services for controlling rerouting of a call

The present application relates to monitoring non-local originating calls in a telecommunication system having a local network part and a non-local network part. A monitoring centre is attached to an Intercept Access Point in the local network part. A monitoring request comprising an external target identification is received from the monitoring centre to the Intercept Access point. A call is set-up of from an originating subscriber in the non-local network part, towards the local network part. An Initial Address Message comprising the originating subscriber's identity is received to the Intercept Access point from the non-local network part. A match is found between the Initial Address Message and the received target identification. Monitoring information related to the matched target is transferred from the Intercept Access Point to the monitoring centre.

Methods and devices for set-up of a call in an intelligent network () comprising a switching entity (SE-,SE,SSF) and a control entity (CE-,CE,SCP) are described. The call is subjected to a control by the control entity (CE-,CE,SCP) and the control entity (CE-,CE,SCP) is adapted to perform the steps of obtaining (S) information indicating a status of a bearer for the call, determining (S) a bearer establishment procedure for the call by analyzing the obtained information indicating the status of the bearer and at least one requirement related to the call, and sending (S) an instruction to the switching entity (SE-,SE,SSF) to initiate an establishment of the bearer for the call according to the determined bearer establishment procedure.
