An internal combustion engine having: at least one piston-cylinder unit, a turbocharger having an exhaust gas turbine, a catalytic converter connected between the at least one piston-cylinder unit and the exhaust gas turbine, and a control device, wherein the control device is designed to control a fluid-delivery device such that, when the internal combustion engine is in a state in which no combustion and/or ignition takes place in the at least one piston-cylinder unit, the fluid-delivery device delivers fuel-air mixture through the catalytic converter.

An exhaust gas aftertreatment apparatus for an internal combustion engine, in particular a stationary internal combustion engine having at least one catalyst unit for exhaust gases, which is arranged downstream of the internal combustion engine. Exhaust gases from the internal combustion engine can be taken past the at least one catalyst unit by way of a bypass conduit, and the at least one catalyst unit and the bypass conduit are arranged in a common housing. The housing has at least two separate feed conduits for untreated exhaust gas and at least one outlet conduit for exhaust gas treated by the at least one catalyst unit.

Exhaust gas aftertreatment apparatus

An internal combustion engine is provided, which includes at least one combustion chamber, and a turbocharger with an exhaust gas turbine and an exhaust gas after-treatment device. The exhaust gas after-treatment device has a first catalytic converter arranged aerodynamically between the at least one combustion chamber and the exhaust gas turbine. A second catalytic converter is arranged aerodynamically between the first catalytic converter and the exhaust gas turbine, and at least one partial oxidation chamber is arranged aerodynamically between the first catalytic converter and the second catalytic converter. A catalytic converter device for a stationary internal combustion engine includes at least one bracket for mounting the catalytic converter device on a carrier, and at least one catalyst substrate which can be releasably arranged in a housing of the catalytic converter device, the catalyst substrate having a cell density of at least 50 cpsi, preferably greater than 100 cpsi.

A mixing device having a chamber is provided. The chamber includes an inlet, a main body, and a flow axis. The main body is configured for containing a fluid circulating generally along the flow axis. The inlet is configured to receive at least one fluid stream and is oriented in a flow plane generally perpendicular to the flow axis. A plurality of mixing channels that each receive portions of the fluid stream from the inlet are provided. The plurality of mixing channels are each oriented along the flow plane and have unequal distinct lengths configured to release the portions of the fluid stream into the chamber at discrete time intervals.
