A child-resistant medication container assembly that includes a blister card including a plurality of compartments each configured to support a dosage of medication, and a puck including a body portion, a recess that defines a partition wall in the body portion, and a plurality of openings defined in the partition wall. Each opening corresponds to one of the plurality of compartments in the blister card. The assembly further includes a carton including a first wall opposite a second wall. An access opening is defined in the first wall and a plurality of perforations are defined in the second wall. The access opening is sized to provide access to the plurality of compartments, and each perforation corresponds to one of the plurality of compartments in the blister card.

A medication packaging and dispensing system is provided. The system may include a plurality of medication booklets containing medication and a tray that is configured to retain the medication booklets. Each medication booklet may include a sequential tab assembly of pull tabs that aligns with a plurality of front cutouts and a plurality of back cutouts. This alignment configuration facilitates dispensing the medication from the medication booklet. The tray may include a riser that extends from a bottom wall of the tray at an oblique angle, and a first guide panel including a plurality of linear stops. The oblique angle may correspond to a pitch of the first guide panel. The riser and the plurality of linear stops may cooperate to maintain the medication booklets in a staggered configuration that is substantially parallel to the bottom wall of the tray. The system may further include a container for retaining the tray.

A pill dispenser includes an outer body for displaying one or more pills within the dispenser. A core is disposed within the outer body, and the core includes a channel extending along a length of the outer body to store the one or more pills within the channel. The pill dispenser further includes an actuator with a slot, and the actuator is joined to the outer body at a first end and rotatable about the core from a storage position to a dispensing position with the slot aligned with the channel. An actuator cover is joined to the actuator and includes an opening configured to align with the slot when the actuator is in the storage position.

A automatic injection device including a housing, a firing mechanism, a near-field communication (NFC) assembly, a syringe, and a plunger. The firing mechanism is disposed within the second end of the housing and includes an activation button moveable relative to the firing body between an initial position and an actuated position. The activation button is configured to deploy the plunger when actuated. The firing mechanism includes a piercing element extending from at least the firing body or the activation button. The NFC assembly includes a film disposed proximate the piercing element and configured to be pierced by the piercing element upon actuation of the activation button. The NFC circuit is configured to indicate a film status including at least an unpierced film status before the film is pierced and a pierced film status after the film is pierced. A method of using the automatic injection device is also disclosed.
