An electronic device, a method, and a chipset for receiving global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals are provided. An input/output (I/O) mixer including a first multiplier and a second multiplier downconverts a modulated radio frequency wave to an intermediate frequency. The modulated radio frequency wave is input to first inputs of the first multiplier and the second multiplier, and where an in-phase signal, from a first digital to analog converter (DAC), and a quadrature phase signal, from a second DAC, are input to second inputs of the first multiplier and the second multiplier, respectively. A mixer imbalance between the first mixer and the second mixer is reduced using direct current (DC) bias voltages from the first DAC and the second DAC. The DC bias voltages are determined based on a first and second DAC codes of the first and second DACs. The downconverted modulated radio frequency wave is filtered.

A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver includes an internal signal processor configured to perform an internal signal processing operation on a satellite signal to generate satellite information, a switching circuit configured to transmit the satellite signal to the internal signal processor, and a control circuit configured to receive a blanking signal from an external communication device instructing that the internal signal processing operation is to be blocked, and configured to output control information for reducing transmission power of the external communication device and to control the switching circuit to transmit the satellite signal to the internal signal processor regardless of the blanking signal when a frequency at which the blanking signal is received exceeds a reference value.

An electronic device, a method, and a chipset for receiving global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signals are provided. The electronic device includes a processor configured to: downconvert, by an input/output (I/O) mixer including a first multiplier and a second multiplier, a modulated radio frequency wave to an intermediate frequency, where the modulated radio frequency wave is input to first inputs of the first multiplier and the second multiplier, and where an in-phase signal and a quadrature phase signal based on a square wave are input to second inputs of the first multiplier and the second multiplier, respectively; filter the downconverted modulated radio frequency wave; and convert the filtered downconverted modulated radio frequency wave to a digital signal.

A method and apparatus is provided. The apparatus a processor configured to generate a first square wave, generate a second square wave, wherein the first square wave and the second square wave are driven by a reference frequency oscillator, modulate a radio frequency wave with the first square wave, downconvert the modulated radio frequency wave to an intermediate frequency, filter the downconverted modulated radio frequency wave, convert the filtered downconverted modulated radio frequency wave to a digital signal, and integrate the digital signal.

A method and apparatus for: receiving a radio frequency (RF) signal on a first channel; determining a radio signal strength of the RF signal; performing a correlation of the RF signal with a predetermined sequence of a wireless data packet to determine whether the RF signal contains the predetermined sequence; in response to the RF signal not containing the predetermined sequence, generating an indication that the RF signal is not a wireless data packet; and determining whether the radio signal strength of the RF signal exceeds a predetermined threshold. In response to i) the radio signal strength exceeding the predetermined threshold and ii) the indication being generated: measuring a parameter associated with the RF signal; determining whether the RF signal is a radar signal based on the parameter; and changing from the first channel in response to the RF signal being determined to be a radar signal.

Systems and methods are provided for determining a data value for a bit of interest in a received data signal. A closest 0-bit symbol candidate is selected from a plurality of 0-bit symbol candidates using a symbol selection distance approximation. A closest 1-bit symbol candidate is selected from a plurality of 1-bit symbol candidates using the symbol selection distance approximation. A 0-bit distance between the received data signal and the selected 0-bit symbol candidate is determined, and a 1-bit distance between the received data signal and the selected 1-bit symbol candidate is determined. A log likelihood ratio is calculated for the bit of interest using the determined 0-bit distance and the determined 1-bit distance.

Systems and techniques relating to processing multiple include, according to at least one implementation, a method including obtaining data streams to be transmitted, and applying data rotations to the data streams in connection with interleaving the data streams, wherein each of the data rotations has a constant rotation value for its corresponding stream index regardless of how many data streams are currently being transmitted, a second rotation value used for a second stream is larger than a first rotation value used for a first stream and also large enough to maximize rotation distance between the first and second streams when the current transmission has two streams, a third rotation value used for a third stream is greater than the first rotation value but less than the second rotation value, and a fourth rotation value used for a fourth stream is greater than the second rotation value.

A system including a counting module, a difference module, and a radar module. The counting module counts polarity reversals of samples of a signal. The samples are generated during a first period, a second period, and a third period. The counting module generates a first count, a second count, and a third count of the polarity reversals counted during the respective periods. The difference module determines a first difference between the first count and the second count, a second difference between the second count and the third count, and a third difference between the first difference and the second difference. The radar module determines variation in frequency of the signal based on the first count and the second count, and determines a type of radar present in the signal based on one or more of the third difference and the variation in the frequency of the signal.

Detection and estimation of radio frequency variations

Systems and techniques relating to processing multiple data streams transmitted over a wireless channel are described. A described technique includes obtaining data streams to be transmitted over a wireless channel using spatially diverse transmission; and applying rotations to the data streams in connection with interleaving the data streams. Applying the rotations can include using rotation values with respective data streams, the rotation values forming a sequence such that the rotation values plotted against stream indices oscillate in relative value within the sequence when a number of the data streams to be transmitted is greater than two. The rotations can include frequency rotations. The interleaving can include performing permutations, the permutations including a first permutation and a second permutation. Applying the rotations can include applying the frequency rotations after the second permutation.

A system including a sampling module that generates samples of RF signals on a first channel during first, second, and third periods, which do not overlap. A difference module determines a first difference between i) a first count of polarity reversals during the first period and ii) a second count of polarity reversals during the second period; a second difference between i) the second count and ii) a third count of polarity reversals during the third period; and a third difference between the first and second differences. A third module determines a frequency of the RF signals based on at least one of the first and second counts, determines a frequency variation of the RF signals based on the first and second counts, and identifies a radar type of the RF signals based on at least one of the third difference and the frequency variation.
