An apparatus and method for generating a modified composite view as a function of a plurality of whole slide images and a reconstruction model. The apparatus includes at least a processor and a memory communicatively connected to the at least a processor configured to receive a plurality of whole slide images, register the plurality of whole slide images based on one or more features of at least a structure by identifying, at least a structural continuation in the first image and the second image, and adjusting the first image with respect to the second image, generate an initial composite view by positioning the plurality of whole slide images into the initial composite view based on the at least a structural continuation of the one or more features of the at least a structure, and display the initial composite view.

A method for on-demand registration of whole slide images (WSIs), comprising receiving at least two digital images, a first digital image of a reference slide and a second digital image on a candidate slide, each at a first magnification level, identifying a first region of interest (ROI) on the first digital image at a target magnification level, registering a portion of the second digital image to a portion of the first digital slide image at the first magnification level to derive a transformation matrix, applying the transformation matrix to the first ROI to identify a second ROI on the second digital image at the first magnification level, mapping the second ROI to a corresponding second ROI on the second digital image at the target magnification level, and registering the corresponding second ROI to the first ROI at the target magnification level.

Apparatus and a method for on-demand registration of whole slide images

Aspects of present disclosure relate to slide imaging. An exemplary system for imaging a slide includes at least an optical system, including an optical sensor; a slide port configured to hold a slide; and a first computing device configured to: capture, using the at least an optical system, a plurality of images of the slide, including a first image; automatically select an algorithm to apply to the first image; identify a control command as a function of the first image; and capture, using the at least an optical system, a second image of the plurality of images as a function of the control command.
