In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, based at least in part on a measurement gap configuration, a set of available slots for an uplink repetition configuration. The UE may transmit, using at least one slot of the set of available slots, at least one uplink repetition associated with the uplink repetition configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine an inactivity timer associated with a first set of one or more beams used for communicating with a network entity associated with a satellite has expired. The UE may identify location information corresponding to the location of the UE with respect to the network entity. The UE may identify beam geometry information for one or more beams associated with the network entity. For example, the UE may receive the beam geometry information from the network entity. The UE may process the location information and the beam geometry information to identify a second set of one or more beams, the second set different than the first set. The UE and the network entity may communicate according to the second set of one or more beams.

Default beam for communication networks

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a duration of a first gap that precedes a reference signal, based at least in part on a polarization of the reference signal. The UE may determine a duration of a second gap that succeeds the reference signal, based at least in part on the polarization of the reference signal. According to certain aspects, a method for wireless communications by a UE generally includes generating a cell measurement report, transmitting the cell measurement report to a network entity, transmitting, to the network entity, an indicator of a preferred paging carrier, and monitoring paging occasions (POs) in at least the preferred paging carrier.

A user equipment (UE) may receive first control signaling indicating a configuration associated with a target network node in a non-terrestrial network. The configuration may include a first UE-group configuration and a UE-specific configuration including integrity information for the first UE-group configuration. The UE may perform a connection operation based on a trust status of the first UE-group configuration.

Managing group configurations in wireless communications systems

A base-station (BS) receiving a random access request from user equipment (a UE), followed by a connection request. The connection request contains UE identity information which may have one of multiple formats depending on whether the access request and/or the connection request indicate that the UE is operating as a bandwidth-limited (BL) UE, an enhanced coverage (CE) UE, or a UE that operates in neither the BL mode nor the CE mode. In the BL mode, the UE may transmit a truncated identifier that is sufficient for the BS to retrieve capability information for the UE prior to transmitting a resource grant to the UE. The BS may then configure the UE and BS to using a radio configuration optimized for the UE's capabilities and transmit the resource grant in accordance with the optimized configuration.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure are directed to techniques for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook design. For example, a user equipment (UE) configured for feedback processing may comprise a memory and a processor configured to receive, from a base station (BS), a first indication of a first feedback process type for providing feedback to the BS for a plurality of feedback processes of the UE. The memory and the processor may also be configured to receive one or more first downlink transmissions from the BS associated with at least one feedback process of the plurality of feedback processes. The memory and the processor may also be configured to transmit feedback or withhold transmission of feedback to the BS regarding decoding of the one or more first downlink transmissions according to the first feedback process type.

Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebook design

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE). The method generally includes performing a mobility procedure to establish a connection in a target radio access technology (RAT) while maintaining a context established in a source RAT, wherein one of the source RAT or target RAT is a terrestrial network (TN) RAT and the other is a non-terrestrial network (NTN) RAT and sending a tracking area update (TAU) request after establishing the connection in the target RAT.

Aspects described herein relate to receiving an update value for a timing advance of a satellite link between the UE and a base station, computing, based on the update value for the timing advance, a portion of a timing difference between the update value and a previous value for the timing advance of the satellite link that is corrected by closed loop timing advance control from the base station, computing, based at least in part on computing the portion, a total value for the timing advance of the satellite link, and applying, at the UE and based at least in part on the total value for the timing advance of the satellite link and the closed loop timing advance control, an applied timing advance for communicating with the base station.
