A polymeric composition includes 10 wt % to 80 wt % of a silane-grafted ethylene polymer based on a total weight of the polymeric composition. The silane-grafted ethylene polymer has a silane content of 0.40 mol % to 1.50 mol % based on a total moles of the silane-grafted ethylene polymer and the ethylene polymer used to make the silane-grafted ethylene polymer has a polar comonomer content of less than 15 wt % based on a total weight of the ethylene polymer. The polymeric composition also includes 10 wt % to 80 wt % of a flame-retardant filler based on a total weight of the polymeric composition.

Catalyst system

The present disclosure provides a composition. The composition includes a silane functionalized polyolefin; a flame retardant; and a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) having a Mw greater than 5,000 Dalton. The present disclosure also provides a coated conductor. The coated conductor includes a conductor and a coating on the conductor, the coating including a composition. The coating composition includes a silane functionalized polyolefin; a flame retardant; and a hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) having a Mw greater than 5,000 Dalton.

The present disclosure provides a composition. The composition includes (i) an ethylene-based polymer; (ii) an organic peroxide, (iii) a triorganoaminophosphine, and (iv) a protic acid-source compound ('PASC') selected from a protic acid, a protic acid-generator compound (“PAGC”), and combinations thereof. The present disclosure also provides a coated conductor. The coated conductor includes a conductor and a coating on the conductor, the coating containing a composition including (i) an ethylene-based polymer; (ii) an organic peroxide, (iii) a triorganoaminophosphine, and (iv) a protic acid-source compound (“PASC”) selected from a protic acid, a protic acid-generator compound (“PAGC”), and combinations thereof.

The present disclosure also provides a coated conductor. The coated conductor includes a conductor and a coating on the conductor, the coating containing a composition including (i) an ethylene-based polymer; (ii) an organic peroxide, (iii) a phosphine oxide, and (iv) a protic acid-source compound (“PASC”) selected from a protic acid, a protic acid-generator compound (“PAGC”), and combinations thereof.

The present disclosure provides a composition. The composition includes (A) an ethylene-based polymer and (B) from 5 wt % to 15 wt % of a metal hydroxide component, based on the total weight of the composition. The metal hydroxide component includes a metal hydroxide having an aspect ratio greater than, or equal to, 10. The composition has a thermal conductivity greater than 0.52 W m−K−and a density less than, or equal to 1.02 g/cc. The present disclosure also provides a coated conductor including a non-metal conductor and a coating on the conductor, the coating containing the composition.

A copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane includes from 0.1 wt % to 5.0 wt % hydrolysable silane groups and has a Mz(abs)/Mw(abs) of less than or equal to 9.5; a ratio of Mz(abs)/Mw(abs) to polydispersity of less than or equal to 1.5; a polydispersity of 6.6 or greater; a Density×Polydispersity of 6.0 or greater; or an Amorphous Content at Room Temperature×Polydispersity of 360 or greater. Methods for forming a moisture-crosslinkable polymer composition include forming a copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane at a polymerization temperature of greater than or equal to 180° C. to less than or equal to 400° C. at a pressure from 5,000 psi to 50,000 psi; and adding a silanol condensation catalyst to the copolymer of ethylene and hydrolysable silane.

Non-polar ethylene-based compositions with triallyl phosphate for encapsulant films

A method of making a homogeneous mixture of polyolefin solids and liquid additive without melting the polyolefin solids during the making. The method comprises applying acoustic energy at a frequency of from 20 to 100 hertz to a heterogeneous mixture comprising the polyolefin solids and the liquid additive for a period of time sufficient to substantially intermix the polyolefin solids and the liquid additive together and while maintaining temperature of the heterogeneous mixture above the freezing point of the at least one liquid additive and below the melting temperature of the polyolefin solids, thereby making the homogeneous mixture without melting the polyolefin solids.
