A first UE can receive a request to communicate from a second UE. The first UE and the second UE can exchange a first cryptographic key and a second cryptographic key associated with the first and the second UE, respectively. The first UE can receive an encrypted unique identifier associated with the second UE, where the unique identifier identifies a second wireless telecommunication network serving the second UE. The first UE can authenticate the second UE by sending the encrypted unique identifier to a first wireless telecommunication network and sending a request to confirm that the unique identifier is valid. The first UE can receive, from the first wireless telecommunication network, a confirmation that the unique identifier is valid. Upon receiving the confirmation, the first UE can engage in a communication with the second UE.

Enabling peer-to-peer authentication between at least two mobile devices associated with one or more wireless telecommunication networks

A wireless communication network serves data content to a wireless user device. An access wireless relay wirelessly receives a user request for the data content from the wireless user device. The access wireless relay wirelessly transfers the data content to the wireless user device when it stores the data content. When the access wireless relay does not store the data content, it transfers content requests having a Time-To-Live (TTL). Serving wireless relays receive the content requests during the TTL. The serving wireless relays transfer the data content to the access wireless relay if they store the data content. The serving wireless relays forward the content requests with the TTL when they do not store the data content. Terminating wireless relays receive the content requests after the TTL. The terminating wireless relays stop forwarding the content requests.

Wireless communication network with wireless relays that serve data content to wireless user devices

A wireless relay wirelessly transmits Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) information to wireless user devices. In the wireless relay, network circuitry wirelessly receives a CMAS broadcast having the CMAS information from a wireless communication network. The network circuitry responsively generates a wireless relay instruction having the CMAS information. The network circuitry transfers the wireless relay instruction to user circuitry in the wireless relay. The user circuitry receives the wireless relay instruction having the CMAS information, and in response, wirelessly transmits the CMAS information to the wireless user devices.

Wireless relay delivery of commercial mobile alert system (CMAS) information to wireless user devices

A wireless communication device controls access to a geographically-distributed Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) network. The wireless communication device graphically presents WiFi network data to receive user selections of multiple WiFi access systems, a network name, and a user password. The wireless communication device receives configuration data that associates broadcast identification signals for the WiFi access systems with the network name. The wireless communication device detects a broadcast identification signal for one of the WiFi access systems and responsively presents the network name and a password prompt to receive the user password. The wireless communication device transfers the network name and the user password to the WiFi access system, and in response, the wireless communication device exchanges user data over the WiFi access system.

User control over WIFI network access

Systems, methods, apparatuses, and software for providing redirection control of communications over a wide area network for user devices over a wireless local area network are provided herein. In one example, a method of operating a wireless network device is provided. The method includes receiving a connection request from a user device over the wireless local area network, and responsive to the connection request, identifying a traffic plan for the user device based at least on one or more policy factors associated with the user device. When the traffic plan indicates redirected access, then the method includes establishing a tunnel to a cellular communication network associated with the user device and routing the communications of the user device over the tunnel. When the traffic plan indicates local access, then the method includes routing the communications of the user device to the wide area network.

Traffic redirection control in wireless networks

Examples disclosed herein provide systems, methods, and software for application dedicated transceivers. In one example, a method for operating a wireless device includes, in a device application, initiating a request for a dedicated-transceiver. In response to the request, the method further includes, in the device operating system, requesting dedicated-transceiver information from a transceiver system on the device and, once the information is received from the transceiver system, transferring a dedicated-transceiver response to the application. The method also provides, in the device application, initiating a communication handshake with the transceiver system and, upon completion of the handshake, communicating application data to the transceiver system without the use of the operating system.

Application dedicated transceiver communications

Systems and methods of providing wireless communication to a wireless device are provided. An access node of a first network associated with a first radio access technology can receive a request to establish a communication link with a first wireless device. The first wireless device can be in further communication with a second network associated with a second radio access technology different from the first radio access technology. The access node can determine that a number of second wireless devices in communication with the access node meets a threshold. When the number of second wireless devices exceeds the threshold, the access node can determine a subscription parameter based on a bandwidth allocation among the number of second wireless devices in communication with the access node. When the subscription parameter meets a criteria, the communication link can be established with the first wireless device.

Network management using access point performance values

A server system transfers display data for presentation to a user who selects multiple geographically-distributed WiFi access systems and a password. The server system receives user data that indicates the user-selected WiFi network access systems and the user-selected password. The server system stores an association between the user-selected WiFi network access systems and the user-selected password. The server system receives an access request for one of the user-selected WiFi network access systems using the user-selected password. The server system transfers a positive response to the access request based on the stored association between the user-selected WiFi network access systems and the user-selected password.

In an embodiment, a method provides for receiving commands within a mobile communications application running on a mobile communication device. The method includes monitoring text entered into a text input region of a touchscreen keyboard module within a user interface on the mobile communication device for an interrupt code, and detecting an interrupt code. The method also includes determining a command from a plurality of commands, based on user inputs following the interrupt code, identifying an action from a plurality of actions corresponding to the plurality of commands, and initiating the action corresponding to the command.

Systems, methods, and software for receiving commands within a mobile communications application

Systems, methods, and software for providing a wireless local area network to user devices using a wireless access node are provided herein. In one example, a method of operating a wireless access node is provided. The method includes providing a wireless local area network for user devices, selecting a first wireless backhaul link for communications of the wireless local area network from among a plurality of wireless links provided by a plurality of wireless access nodes based on at least signal strengths of the wireless links, and selecting a second wireless backhaul link as a backup for the first wireless backhaul link from among the plurality of wireless links based on at least the signal strengths and uptime information of the wireless links.
