A method for treating a spine, the method comprising the steps of: imaging a patient anatomy for registration of anatomical image data and positional tracking of the patient anatomy; selecting an implant strategy for at least one bone fastener; selecting a manipulation strategy for the patient anatomy; determining a post-correction orientation of the patient anatomy according to the implant strategy and the manipulation strategy; imaging the post-correction orientation of the patient anatomy; engaging the at least one bone fastener with vertebral tissue of the patient anatomy according to the implant strategy; and connecting a first implant support to the at least one bone fastener, the first implant support including an adaptor that is movable relative to the first implant support to releasably engage a surgical instrument to distract and/or compress the vertebral tissue according to the manipulation strategy. Surgical system and method

Expandable spinal implants, systems and methods are disclosed. An expandable spinal implant may include a first endplate, a second endplate, and a moving mechanism that is operably coupled to the first and second endplates. The moving mechanism may include a wedge, a first sliding frame and a second sliding frame disposed on opposite sides of the wedge, a screw guide housing a rotatable first set screw and a rotatable second set screw opposite the first set screw. The first set screw may be operably coupled to the second sliding frame and the second set screw may be operably coupled to the wedge. The moving mechanism may operably adjust a spacing between the first and second endplates upon simultaneous rotation of the first and second set screws and operably adjust an angle of inclination between the first and second endplates upon translating the first set screw or second set screw.

Expandable inter-body device, system, and method

A surgical instrument includes a member connectable with a longitudinal element of a surgical distractor connected with vertebrae. At least one blade is connected with the member adjacent to an axis oriented transverse to the longitudinal element and being movable to space tissue adjacent the vertebrae. The at least one blade being intra-operatively translatable relative to the member along the axis. Surgical systems, constructs, implants and methods are disclosed.

A surgical compression instrument includes a member configured for disposal longitudinally along a first implant support for pivotably connecting the first implant support with a second implant support. The first implant support is engageable with a first receiver of a first fastener having a first shaft fixed with vertebra tissue and the second implant support is engageable with a second receiver of a second fastener having a second shaft fixed with vertebral tissue. A part is movable relative to the member and engageable with the implant supports such that the second implant support moves relative to the first implant support to compress the vertebral tissue. Surgical systems, constructs, implants and methods are disclosed.

The present disclosure provides for spinal implants configured for lateral insertion techniques deployable between a contracted position and an expanded position. The spinal implant may include a first endplate and a second endplate, each having a plurality of guide walls and inclined ramps. The spinal implant may further include a moving mechanism having first and second trolleys configured to act against the first and second plurality of ramps. The moving mechanism may further include a first set screw and a second set screw opposite the first set screw. The moving mechanism may be configured to operably adjust a spacing between the first and second endplates upon simultaneous rotation of the first and second set screws along a rotation axis, and may also operably adjust an angle of inclination between the first and second endplates upon rotating the first set screw or second set screw along the rotation axis.

Dual expandable inter-body device

A surgical instrument includes a first member including a first portion and a second portion. The second portion includes an arm and a part. The part is connectable with a first blade such that the first blade is rotatable about the longitudinal axis through a selected angular range and about the transverse axis through a selected angular range. A second member includes a first portion and a second portion that is connectable with a second blade. The first portions are pivotably connected such that the blades are movable between a first configuration and a second configuration to define an opening and space tissue adjacent a spine. Surgical systems, constructs, implants and methods are disclosed.

A surgical instrument includes a first member having a mating surface that is connectable with a first blade and a height controller. The height controller is connectable with a surgical distractor and configured to translate the first member relative to the surgical distractor. A second member includes a second blade and is movable relative to the first member such that the blades are movable to space tissue adjacent a spine. Surgical systems, constructs, implants and methods are disclosed.

An expandable implant movable between a contracted position and an expanded position, is disclosed. In various embodiments, the implant may include a superior endplate and an inferior endplate having proximal ramps and distal ramps disposed on an interior surface thereof, respectively. In various embodiments, a proximal set screw and a distal set screw may be independently coupled to a proximal wedge and a distal wedge. Upon rotation of the proximal set screw, the proximal wedge may act against the proximal ramps of the superior and inferior endplates and cause the implant to expand at the proximal end. Upon rotation of the distal set screw, the distal wedge may act against the distal ramps of the superior and inferior endplates and cause the implant to expand at the distal end. In some embodiments, a first eyelet and a second eyelet for supporting a corresponding bone screw, respectively, may be included.

Dual wedge expandable implant with eyelets, system, and method of use

A surgical system includes an implant support engageable, in operation of the system, with a receiver of a bone fastener having a shaft fixed with vertebral tissue. The receiver being connectable to at least one extender tab. The implant support including a connector being releasably engageable with the at least one extender tab. The implant support further including an adaptor. At least a portion of the adaptor being movable relative to the connector to releasably engage a surgical instrument to distract and/or compress the vertebral tissue. Surgical instruments, constructs, implants and methods are disclosed.

A surgical system includes an implant support engageable with a receiver of a fastener having a shaft fixed with vertebral tissue. A sleeve having a first mating surface releasably engageable with the implant support and a second mating surface releasably engageable with the receiver. An adaptor connected with the implant support to releasably engage a surgical instrument to distract and/or compress the vertebral tissue. Surgical instruments, constructs, implants and methods are disclosed.

The present disclosure provides for spinal implants and plates including, for example, expandable plates deployable between a contracted position and an expanded position. The expandable plate may include an expandable body including a first portion and a second portion. The first portion may include a receiving cavity facing the proximal end, and a first through aperture extending in the proximal-to-distal direction. The second portion may include a lower end having a size and shape that corresponds to the receiving cavity, and a second through aperture extending in the proximal-to-distal direction. The expandable plate may include a locking screw and a nut. In at least some embodiments, in a locked position, the locking screw extends through the first through aperture and second through aperture, and is secured to the nut. In various embodiments, in an expanded position the first portion and second portion are farther away from one another relative to a contracted position.

Expandable inter-body device, expandable plate system, and associated methods

The present disclosure provides for spinal implants deployable between a contracted position and an expanded position. The spinal implant may include an anterior endplate, a superior endplate, and an inferior endplate operably coupled to a moving mechanism. The first endplate and a second endplate each include at least one bone screw relief. The moving mechanism may include first and second trolleys configured to act against corresponding ramps. The moving mechanism may further include a first set screw and a second set screw opposite the first set screw configured to operably adjust a spacing between the first and second endplates upon simultaneous rotation of the first and second set screws along a rotation axis, and may also operably adjust an angle of inclination between the first and second endplates upon rotating either one of the first set screw and second set screw along the rotation axis.
