An apparatus for transferring objects is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an object take-off roller () equipped with members () for individually gripping objects. The apparatus comprises at least a linear actuator (), placed in the interior volume defined by the roller. This actuator () moves a gripping member () with its free end movable between a folded position and a deployed position. In this last position, this free end contacts a gripping member (). This actuator () being rotationally mobile between an engaged position and a disengaged position, is freely moved between these positions when it comes into contact with another gripping member () in its rest position. A return member () returns the actuator to its engaged position when its free end is in a position in which it is not able to interact with a gripping member () in its rest position.

Apparatus for transferring objects

An injector, injection systems and methods for injecting a substance into an egg, where the injector includes a shaft, a sheath extending from the shaft in a longitudinal direction; a trocar positioned at least partly inside the sheath; and a needle at least partly inside the trocar. The injector can further include a locking mechanism configured to lock the trocar with the shaft in the longitudinal direction in a first position of the trocar relative to the sheath, the locking mechanism being further configured to unlock the trocar from the shaft in the longitudinal direction in a second position of the trocar relative to the sheath. The needle is fully inside the trocar in the first longitudinal position and at least partly extends from the trocar in the second longitudinal position.

System and method for injecting an egg

An apparatus to identify upside-down eggs of a batch of eggs includes a heating module configured to expose an air cell in each egg of the batch of eggs to a radiation flux. The apparatus also includes an imaging module with a thermal camera configured to capture thermal images of the batch of eggs when the eggs are not exposed to the radiation flux. The apparatus further includes an analyzer module configured to detect the presence of a heated zone in the air cell of each egg from the thermal images and identify upside-down eggs based on the presence of the heated zone. A method to identify upside-down eggs from a batch of eggs includes heating the batch of eggs with a radiation source, such as an infrared source, so as to generate a hot zone inside an air cell of each egg without significantly heating the rest of the eggs. Thermal images of the eggs are captured while the eggs are not exposed to the radiation source, analyzed to detect the presence of the hot zone and to identify the upside down eggs.
