The invention relates to an electrically operated medical apparatus, such as an electro-surgical apparatus comprising an electrical instrument which can be handled by a person and which is connectable or connected to an electrically operated feed and control apparatus, such as a high-frequency surgical apparatus, which is connected to a switch to be actuated by the person, by means of which a switching signal initiated by him can switch on and off one or more functions of the electrical instrument in the feed and control apparatus. In accordance with the present teaching, the switch is associated with a transmitter part which converts the switching signals into signals which can be transmitted without wires and which are transmitted via a transmitting element to a receiving element of a receiving station. The receiving element is connected to the switching input of the feed and control apparatus and transmits to the feed and control apparatus a control signal corresponding to the switching signal.

Electrically operated medical apparatus

An electrosurgical high frequency generator has a high frequency oscillator and, connected thereto, a regulatable power stage to which a patient current circuit with active and neutral electrodes can be connected via an output transformer. Three parameter sensors for the high frequency current, the high frequency voltage and the arc formation are provided at the output circuit and are connected via an interface to a microcomputer which in turn controls the power stage. In accordance with the invention, a tissue impedance sensor is additionally provided which is likewise connected to the microcomputer via the interface.

Electrosurgical high frequency generator

A high-frequency surgical apparatus has a plurality of different operating modes, such as monopolar, tripolar, bipolar, at least one function such as cutting, coagulation in each operating mode and at least one operating mode with several functions and also at least one characteristic within each function which can be selected by one switching key in each case. In accordance with the invention an operating mode selection key is provided for each operating mode. At least some of the switching keys are associated with several operating mode selection keys. On actuating at least one of the operating mode selection keys several of the switching keys are blocked.
