A separating apparatus for separating liquid from gas has a housing with a connection device for connecting to a connection head of a machine along a connection axis. The housing has a gas inlet and a gas outlet surrounding the connection axis. A separating medium inside the housing separates gas inlet from gas outlet. A liquid collection chamber inside the housing at a clean gas side surrounds connection axis and gas outlet. A liquid drain leads out of the liquid collection chamber. Gas outlet and liquid drain lead out of the housing at a side provided with the connection device. A pipe section arranged inside the housing surrounds circumferentially the connection axis and forms at least partially a radially inner boundary of the liquid collection chamber. The pipe section leads to the gas outlet. The pipe section is functionally separated from mechanical force-transmitting connection elements of the connection device.

A separating device for separating a liquid from gas is provided with a separating element that has a housing with housing cover closing off an end face of the housing. A filter element is arranged in the housing. A coupling element is provided to couple the separating element to a connector device. The housing cover has a central first gas passage and a second gas passage arranged radially outwardly of the first gas passage. The housing cover has a housing cover thread correlated with the first gas passage. The housing cover thread is to be screwed to a coupling element thread of the coupling element. A fluid discharge channel is arranged within the coupling element for discharging separated liquid from the separating device. The housing cover thread and the coupling element thread, in a position of use of the separating device, are connected substantially seal-tightly to each other.

A separation device for separating fluid from a gas stream has a housing replaceably connected to a connector head of a connecting device. The housing has a housing corpus with an axial end covered by a housing cover non-detachably connected to the housing corpus. A filter insert is received in the housing in a flow path of the gas stream from a raw gas inlet to a clean gas outlet of the housing. The filter insert has a main separator element with ring-shaped support body and cylindrical coalescing filter medium with coalescer material removing fluid from the gas stream. A preliminary separator element is arranged concentrically to the main separator element in the housing in the flow path of the gas stream between raw gas inlet and main separator element. The preliminary separator element has a cylindrical coalescing filter medium with coalescer material removing fluid from the gas stream.

A separation device for separating fluid from a gas stream has a housing with housing corpus and housing cover non-detachably connected to the housing corpus. A hollow cylindrical filter insert is received in the housing in a flow path of the gas stream from a raw gas inlet to a clean gas outlet. The filter insert has first and second end discs at first and second axial end face sides. The filter insert has a main separator element with hollow cylindrical coalescing filter medium with coalescer material for removing fluid from the gas stream that is flowing radially through the main separator element. A preliminary separator element having a coalescing filter medium with coalescer material is arranged in the flow path of the gas stream between the raw gas inlet and the filter insert for removing fluid from the gas stream.

A cup-shaped housing assembly for a device for separating liquid from air has a cup-shaped housing body having an interior. At least one annular filter element for separating liquid from air is arranged in the housing body. A housing cover closes off an end face of the housing body. The housing cover has an inner side that is facing the interior and an outer side that is facing away from the interior. The housing cover has at least one raw air inlet through which raw air is supplied to the interior. The housing cover has at least one clean air opening though which filtered clean air is discharged from the interior.

A cup-shaped housing assembly for a device for separating liquid from air has a cup-shaped housing body having an interior. At least one annular filter element for separating liquid from air is arranged in the housing body. A housing cover closes off an end face of the housing body. The housing cover has an inner side that is facing the interior and an outer side that is facing away from the interior. A gap filter for liquids of gases which has a filter body 13 which encloses a clean space within a filter housing and separates it from a dirt space. The filter body 13 is supported by an element which is constructed as a safety filter 14.

A backwashable fluid filter formed with a filter element which is disposed so that it can be rotated about its axis inside the filter housing by a drive mechanism and through which a radial flow passes. A backwashing device is provided which includes a dirt removal channel which extends parallel to the axis of the filter element. When the filter element is backwashed, clean fluid flows back through the filter element, removes dirt particles adhering to the filter element and carries them into the dirt removal channel. In order to pre-clean the filter element, a resiliently mounted stripping device is arranged in front of the backwashing device to remove coarse dirt from the surface of the filter element before it reaches the backwashing device. The filter element is provided with slit-like openings, each of which has a substantially U-shaped configuration and defines a resilient tongue. During backwashing, these resilient tongues have the advantage that they can move out of their normal positions to expand the width of the slit-like openings and facilitate effective cleaning of filter element.
