A spinning rotor (1) with a spinning cup (2) has an interior surface coated with a nickel dispersion layer (6) of an essentially even layer thickness having a concentration of hard material grains (7) embedded therein which is clearly less at the surface of the fiber slide face (9) than in the rotor groove. The coating is produced by bathing the spinning cup in a nickel dispersion bath during the final stage of which the concentration of the hard material grains in the bath is reduced at least in the bathing area, while the spinning cup is moved in this bath and rotated around its longitudinal axis while maintaining the spinning cup in a spatial orientation relative to the bath wherein an imaginary plane passing through the rotor groove is at least approximately perpendicular to the surface of the nickel dispersion bath.

A support disk bearing (1) for an open-end spinning rotor (9) with support disks (4, 5) arranged in pairs, each of which has a hub body (14) made of a metallic material and a bearing ring (15) made of a polymeric material. On its circumference, the hub body (14) has a radial circumferentially extending profiling (20), between whose V-shaped center structure (21) and lateral ribs (22, 23) the free flanks (24, 25) of an M-shaped bearing ring (15) can be fixed, and which has a thickness (D) which is almost constant in cross section.

Support disk bearing for an open-end spinning rotor

A yarn withdrawal nozzle (20) for an open-end rotor spinning device (1) has a yarn inlet zone (29) tapering in a funnel-like manner into a yarn withdrawal conduit (21), with the yarn inlet zone being formed with both a spiral structure (30) as well as additional notches (34) in the inlet area of the yarn withdrawal conduit (21). As viewed in the yarn withdrawal direction (A), the notches (34) are either arranged following the spiral structure (30) or at least partially in the area of the spiral structure (30).

A mechanically operating debris removal device for an open-end spinning machine 1 comprises a guide conduit arranged below the spinning units and enclosing a debris conveyor belt. The guide conduit comprises a base and a cover, which may be pivotable or detachable relative to the base. During spinning operation, the base and the cover form an essentially closed belt guide conduit. Debris passage openings are formed in the cover with associated air and debris guide deflectors to communicate with debris exit openings in the sliver opening devices. The upper run of debris conveyor belt creates a slight suction flow in guide conduit and at the debris passage openings to prevent fine debris from settling in the area of the debris passage openings and in the area of debris exit openings of the sliver opening devices.

An open-end spinning device (1) has a spinning rotor (2) supported by its rotor shaft (3) in the bearing wedges (4, 4') of a supporting plate bearing (5). A rotor brake (12) arranged in the area of the supporting plate bearing (4) has brake elements (13) operable vertically downwardly on the rotor shaft (3). The brake elements (13) of the rotor brake (12) are arranged centered above the respective bearing wedges (4, 4') of the supporting plate bearing (5) and are seated in a box-like component (14) to be linearly displaced in the vertical direction (R).

Open-end spinning device

A magnetic bearing is disclosed for an open-end spinning rotor having a shaft supported in a wedge-like gap formed between at least one pair of support rollers. The bearing comprises a housing for receiving the shaft, a magnet disposed in the housing to extend radially relative to the shaft, and a magnet disposed on and radially extending from the shaft axially adjacent and at a spacing from the magnet in the bearing housing. The magnets have respective poles of the same magnetic orientation disposed to face and thereby repel one another. According to the invention, a coupling connects the shaft and the magnet disposed on the shaft, the coupling being releasable in response to an axial force exerted on the shaft.
