A camera adapter for connecting a camera having an optical axis. The camera adapter comprises an adapter cover for connecting to a camera housing of the camera, the adapter cover and the camera housing form a chamber for a sensor board of the camera. The camera adapter has a connector for connecting the camera adapter to a control unit outside the chamber, a waveguide for transmitting signals from the sensor board to the connector, the waveguide being guided inside the chamber; and a contact surface disposed on the waveguide for contacting the waveguide with the sensor board in the chamber, the waveguide is arranged with the contact surface on a side wall of the camera adapter extending in the direction of the optical axis in order to contact an edge of the sensor board in a contact direction which is perpendicular to the optical axis of the camera.

A connector shielding for a connector includes a plurality of shielding walls forming a receptacle receiving a mating connector and a guiding protrusion disposed on at least one of the shielding walls and protruding from the at least one of the shielding walls toward the receptacle. A chiclet for a chiclet connector includes a conductor having a first end and a second end. A housing of the chiclet encloses and defines a housing interior. The conductor extends through the housing interior with the first and second ends of the conductor forming contacts projecting from the housing. A plug connector system includes a first plug connector having a shielding sleeve and a second plug connector having a shielding bushing with a plurality of spring elements. The shielding sleeve has an at least partially circumferential bead on an outer side of the shielding sleeve. The shielding sleeve is partially received in the shielding bushing and the at least partially circumferential bead contacts the spring elements when the first plug connector is connected to the second plug connector.

A plug connector for insertion into a socket comprises a plug connector frame and a spring element. The plug connector frame has a side wall and a front opening receiving a cable head. The spring element is formed of a resilient material and electrically connects the cable head and the socket. An electrical connector is disclosed. The electrical connector has a middle housing having a first upper contact spring and a first upper opening, an upper cover connected to the middle housing and having a first upper termination clamp, wherein the upper cover rotatably and linearly moves with respect to the middle housing between an open position and a closed position, and a cable having a first core, the first core extending into the first upper opening. In the closed position of the upper cover, the first upper termination clamp contacts the first core in an electrically conductive manner and abuts the first upper contact spring.
