An applique for covering a clear substrate through which light is at least one of transmitted and received includes: a transparent sheet having: a first surface; and a second surface that is opposite the first surface; and a ultraviolet (UV) curable pressure sensitive adhesive that is disposed on the first surface of the transparent sheet, that is curable using UV light, and that is configured to adhere the transparent sheet to a third surface of the clear substrate.

The present disclosure is directed to a method of making a composite part. The method comprises covering a mold tool for a composite part with a parting film. The method further comprises laying up at least one layer of pre-preg on the parting film covering the mold tool to form a laid-up composite part and removing the laid-up composite part from the parting film. The parting film comprises a polymer sheet having a first major surface and a second major surface; and a first adhesive disposed on the first major surface of the polymer sheet, the first adhesive adhering the polymer sheet to the mold tool.

Method for pre-preg manufacturing

A transdermal patch is provided for use during oil delivery to a user's skin. The patch has a first foam member and a second foam member positioned adjacent the first foam member. An adhesive member is attached to the second foam member for securing the patch to a user's skin. A release liner covers and extends across the adhesive member. A gap can be formed between the first foam member and the second foam member and surrounds the first foam member. The first foam member has a thickness which is greater than a thickness of the second foam member.

Transdermal patch for oil delivery

A method of making a composite part comprises covering a mold tool for a composite part with a parting film, the parting film comprising a polymer sheet and a pressure sensitive adhesive. The parting film is positioned so that the polymer sheet is between the mold tool and the pressure sensitive adhesive. At least one layer of pre-preg is layed up on the parting film covering the mold tool to form a layed-up composite part. The pre-preg comprises an adhesive. The layed-up composite part is removed from the parting film.

A sheet material for use as a dissolvable decal comprises a dissolvable paper or polymer layer whose dissolvability in water is enhanced using a temporary water barrier. In one embodiment, the sheet material comprises a dissolvable paper stock layer coated with the temporary water barrier layer in the form of an acrylate polymer. To create the decal, one or more ink layers are applied, either on top of the temporary water barrier, or between the temporary water barrier and a top face of the dissolvable paper stock. The sheet material also comprises a removable release liner comprising a sheet with a silicone release coating on one side. In use, the paper/plastic liner is removed and the resulting decal is then positioned on a vehicle. The decal remains on the vehicle, but it is ultimately removable under high pressure water conditions.

Dissolvable ink-support sheet material

A multilayered membrane for use with fuel cells and related applications. The multilayered membrane includes a carrier film, at least one layer of an undoped conductive polymer electrolyte material applied onto the carrier film, and at least one layer of a conductive polymer electrolyte material applied onto the adjacent layer of polymer electrolyte material. Each layer of conductive polymer electrolyte material is doped with a plurality of nanoparticles. Each layer of undoped electrolyte material and doped electrolyte material may be applied in an alternating configuration, or alternatively, adjacent layers of doped conductive polymer electrolyte material is employed. The process for producing a multilayered composite membrane includes providing a carrier substrate and solution casting a layer of undoped conductive polymer electrolyte material and a layer of conductive polymer electrolyte material doped with nanoparticles in an alternating arrangement or in an arrangement where doped layers are adjacent to one another.
