The present invention relates to a control circuit () for controlling a resonant power converter. It is described to generate () a modulation signal. A carrier signal is generates (), wherein the generation of the carrier signal comprises measuring at least one signal from the power converter. A switching signal is generated () that is useable to control a value of at least one magnitude of the resonant power converter based on the modulation signal and the carrier signal.

The invention relates to an electrical power distribution apparatus () connectible to one or more loads (). The electrical power distribution apparatus () comprises inter alia one or more taps () for supplying the loads () with electrical power. On top of circuit breakers () to switch off the power supply in order to protect the loads against damage, there is also arranged a second layer of soft fuse switches () which are arranged to switch on or off the power supply at the taps () to control distribution of the power. The soft fuses () operate in dependence on and in response to commands issued from a controller () which in turn operates and issues those commands in response to and independence on the voltages and amperages monitored at those taps () by way of a monitoring module (). Switching on/off occurs at amperage and voltages lower than the critical threshold values to which the circuit breakers () respond to.

A charger device comprises a sensor which is configured to measure a differential current as a difference between a first current through a first battery portion of a battery and a second current through a second battery portion of the battery. The sensor is configured to provide a current difference signal based on the measured differential current. The charger device further comprises a compensator configured to calculate a first current setpoint used for the first battery portion and a second current setpoint used for the second battery portion based on the current difference signal and a battery current setpoint. The charger device also comprises a controller configured to control charging and/or discharging of the first battery portion based on the first current setpoint and of the second battery portion based on the second current setpoint.

The rectified secondary voltage of this transformer is applied to a use which requires a high short-time power in a first mode of operation and a lower continuous power in a second mode of operation. A circuit arrangement comprises an inverter with two parallel switching branches which are connected to a DC voltage source and each of which comprises two series-connected switching members, each of which comprises at least one switch and an anti-parallel connected diode. A switching member in one switching branch each time constitutes a diagonal pair in conjunction with a switching member in the other switching branch. A load with a given polarity is connectable to a DC voltage source via the diagonal pair. The voltage on the load temporarily becomes zero upon the change-over from one polarity to the other. A control circuit is provided for opening and closing the switches in a manner such that the switching members are successively switched on and off. The switching members are more uniformly stressed because the control circuit is constructed so that all of the switching members are successively switched on as the second switching member in their diagonal pair or all of the switching members are successively switched off as the second switching member in their diagonal pair.
