A fiber composite body, in particular a structure stiffening element, has a number of struts which are formed by reinforcing fibers which are embedded in a polymer matrix and which in a region of the respective strut run substantially parallel to one another. The struts are arranged in a truss-like profiled structure which is produced by winding or intertwining the reinforcing fibers.

A method is provided for producing a structural subassembly, in particular for a motor vehicle, including at least one first profile component of fiber-reinforced plastic and at least one connecting component for producing a node connection of the first profile component with a further profile component. A fiber composite member includes an elongate main member and a fastening portion disposed at an end of the elongate main member, the fastening portion has a fastening opening for fastening the fiber composite member to a neighboring part. A reinforcement fiber bundle, which forms a fiber reinforcement of both the elongate main member and the fastening portion, has a first reinforcement fiber and a second reinforcement fiber which run substantially mutually parallel in a region of the elongate main member. A respective part of the first reinforcement fiber and the second reinforcement fiber in a transition region between the elongate main member and the fastening portion depart from a bundle profile in the region of the elongate main member and the respective parts of the first and second reinforcement fibers intersect with one another in the transition region.

A structural component for a motor vehicle is provided. The structural component includes a closed hollow profile including fiber composite material, with a profile outer casing surrounding a profile volume. The structural component also includes at least one reinforcing bulkhead which is arranged in the profile volume on at least one section of an inner casing surface of the profile outer casing. A pressing tool is provided for producing fiber composite components, including a first tool part and a second tool part moveable relative to the first tool part. In the closed state of the pressing tool, the two tool parts form a shaping cavity for accommodating a fiber semi-finished product to be shaped and each have a tool surface delimiting the cavity. In addition, at least one of the tool surfaces has at least two adjacent flat sections inclined toward each other which are connected to each other by way of a curved transition section. The curved transition section has at least one groove-shaped recess facing the cavity.
