The invention is directed to a battery case () comprising a compartment () for at least one battery module (). Two first outer beams () extending in a first spatial direction (x) and two second outer beams () extending in a second spatial direction (y) are arranged essentially perpendicular to the first spatial direction. The first and second beams () are forming a frame-like support structure (). A tub-shaped insert () is connected to the grid like support structure () from a third direction (z) arranged essentially perpendicular to the first and the second direction (x, y). A closure () closes the tub-shaped insert () to form the closed compartment () for the at least one battery module.

Battery case

The present disclosure relates to a battery structure for an electric vehicle. The battery structure comprises a battery case for at least one battery module and a protector including a top belt, a bottom belt and a core arranged between and interconnecting the top belt and the bottom belt. The top belt has a wavelike cross section.

The invention is directed to a support structure for an energy storage device, in particular for a battery pack of a vehicle that has at least one base panel which has a first surface and a second surface and that is at least partially made from a composite material. At least one thermal transfer member is arranged on the first surface of the least one base panel. The thermal transfer member comprises at least one contact face configured to be in thermal contact with at least part of an energy storage device to be mounted on the support structure.

The central portion extends between the head portion and the base portion and defines a longitudinal direction of the B-pillar. The sheet metal formed part comprises a hat profile such that on the inner side a hollow chamber is formed; and a fiber composite part having an upper portion, a central portion and a lower portion, wherein the upper portion comprises a contact region that laterally embraces a supporting region and is supported against same in the longitudinal direction.

Motor vehicle body B-pillar

A B-pillar for a motor vehicle body has an inner panel made of sheet metal material and a multi-component outer panel connected to the inner panel. The outer panel comprises a lower formed part made of sheet metal material and an upper formed part made of fiber reinforced plastic, which two formed parts are arranged along a region of overlap so as to overlap one another and are connected to one another such that the lower formed part projects from the upper formed part beyond the upper formed part beyond the region of overlap in a first direction of longitudinal extension of the B-pillar and that the upper formed part projects from the lower formed part beyond the region of overlap in a second direction of longitudinal extension of the B-pillar.
