In the case of a central instrument in the center console of a motor vehicle having a circular display, on which a plurality of vehicle-relevant information is shown, the display has an at least approximately circular edge which contains several illuminants which are freely programmable in their brightness, are variably controlled during an operating phase of the motor vehicle and generate a luminous shape that varies with respect to time. The luminous shape supplies information on the condition and/or the function of the motor vehicle and/or of a motor vehicle component.

Modular central instrument

In a method for outputting music information in a vehicle by way of an audio system having loudspeakers in the front area and rear area of the vehicle, the behavior of the vehicle is determined by use of an acceleration sensor responding to longitudinal accelerations. The loudspeakers arranged in the direction of the respective acceleration are at least preferably activated.

Method for outputting music information in a vehicle

In the case of a process for the output of music information via an audio device in a vehicle, in which the driver's behavior is determined on the basis of data of one or more driving systems and/or of one or more comfort systems of the vehicle, one piece of music respectively is stored as music information in a table for different behaviors of the driver and/or traffic situations. When the respective driving behavior and/or the respective traffic situation exists, this music information is played back by way of the audio device.

Process and apparatus for the output of music information in a vehicle

An operating element having an operating surface, particularly in a vehicle, for actuating an adjusting device which is in operative connection with a component to be adjusted. The operating surface is constructed as a pressure-sensitive surface. Thus, as a function of the position and/or of the pressure intensity of a pressure exerted on the operating surface, a corresponding adjusting signal can be generated by which the component to be adjusted can be positioned by means of the adjusting device.

Operating element

A modular vehicle key device system for controlling vehicle access and operation. The device is formed by joining at least two separable modules, a first key device module containing vehicle access and/or operation authorizing elements, such as a keyless entry transmitter and/or an ignition key, and a module for off-vehicle storage of personal adjustment settings and/or other data. With each use of the modular key device, the data in the storage module is transferred to the vehicle to ensure the operator's settings and information are always present. Separating the storage module from the key device module allows others to operate the vehicle while ensuring the operator's personal data cannot be lost. Separation also enables easy transfer of an operator's settings to a like vehicle. Other embodiments allow the operator to allow vehicle operation by others, such as valets, while limiting use of individual vehicle components, such as radios.

Modular vehicle key system

In the case of a process for the output of information in a vehicle, an information source is used for the output of information which is generated as a function of the driver's behavior. The driver's behavior is determined on the basis of data of one or more driving systems and/or of one or more comfort systems of the vehicle. According to the invention, the nature of the information depends on the driver's driving behavior. It describes the next useful behavior step following the momentary behavior.

Process for the output of information in a vehicle

In the case of a process for the output of information in a vehicle having an information source for the output of information which is generated as a function of the driver's behavior and, in the case of which the driver's behavior is determined by using data of one or more driving systems and/or of one or more comfort systems of the vehicle, the nature of the information depends on the driver's driving behavior. The driving behavior is applied to standards and measured on the basis of the respective circumstances.

Music information is output to an operator, such as a vehicle operator, through the use of a portable electronic device. The operator's behavior may be determined on the basis of data received from one or more systems of a moving object which is being controlled or otherwise operated by the operator. One or more individual pieces (or playlists) of music may be respectively stored as music information, for example, corresponding to different detected behaviors or moods of the operator and/or the operation conditions.
