In a method to obtain measurement data from the stomach of a patient using an endoscope, a degassed aqueous drink solution is administered to the stomach of the patient and the measurement data are acquired with the degassed aqueous drink solution present in the stomach.

An endocapsule has a measurement chamber therein containing a sensor that detects at least one metabolic product of a specific bacterium in a hollow organ of a human or animal gastrointestinal tract. The endocapsule is introduced into the hollow organ wherein detection of the at least one metabolic product takes place.

An anti-scatter grid for medical x-ray devices is provided. The anti-scatter grid comprising a number of first elements from a first material with second elements made from a second material integrated therein. In this case the first material is more transparent to radiation than the second material. The second elements are arranged in the first elements such that for stacking of the first elements a grid absorbing scattered radiation is formed by means of second elements for radiation arriving perpendicular to the direction of the stacking of the first elements. The advantage of this is that this anti-scatter grid is able to be produced simply and reliably with a large aspect ratio.

Coatings especially for superconductive strip conductors, as well as methods of applying the coatings, are addressed. Exemplary coatings include aluminum oxide in an aqueous suspension, with aluminum oxide particles contained in the suspension having size typically between 0.5-10 &mgr;m.

Coating method for use in a process for producing high-temperature superconductive strip conductors

A method for producing a high-T superconductor having a strip shape and having at least one superconductive conductor core by forming a conductor initial product and annealing. The forming is in this case intended to include at least two flattening steps. A flattening step which follows a preceding flattening step is intended to result in the percentage thickness reduction in the cross section of the at least one conductor core being greater than that from the preceding flattening step. The strip conductor produced in this way advantageously has a plurality of conductor cores that are embedded in a Ag material and are composed of a bi-cuprate.

Method for producing a superconductor, in strip form, having a high-Tc superconductor material

A process is disclosed for producing a strip-shaped superconductor with several conductor cores made of a high-T superconducting material and surrounded by a normal conducting material. A conductor blank ( ) produced from a fabricated conductor should be rolled flat at least once. For that purpose, the conductor blank is fed into the gap ( ) between two rollers ( ) of which the rolling surfaces ( ) describe a concave, at least approximately elliptical contour at least in the rolling region ( ). The strip-shaped multi-core conductor produced in this way advantageously contains superconducting cores made of a bi-cuprate embedded in an Ag matrix.

Process for producing an elongated superconductor with a bismuth phase

A method for producing a structured layer of a first material having at least one recess of a predetermined geometrical shape on a substructure formed of at least one second material that includes a metal oxide superconductor material with a high transition temperature which is sensitive to solvents containing acids includes the steps of: forming a first composite by applying a varnish layer to the substructure which is soluble in a first solvent that does not attack the substructure such that the varnish layer has a structure corresponding to the structure of the structured layer of the first material to be produced; cold depositing on the first composite an auxiliary layer of a third material that is soluble in a second solvent which does not attack the first and second materials; forming a second composite from the first composite by removing with the first solvent the varnish layer along with a part of the auxiliary layer resting thereon; applying a coating layer of the first material to the second composite at the elevated deposition temperature that is approximately between 150.degree. C. and 1000.degree. C. in an atmosphere containing oxygen; and removing with the second solvent a remaining part of the auxiliary layer remaining in the area of the at least one recess along with the portion of the coating layer resting thereon. The third material is chosen such that it cannot be attacked by the first solvent and does not enter into any reaction with the first and second materials at an elevated deposition temperature at which the first material is deposited, and further which is itself temperature resistant.

Method for the production of a structured composite with

A method of manufacturing a layer of a superconducting high-T.sub.c -material. For this purpose, an appropriate target material is deposited on a predetermined substrate by a pulsed laser with a wavelength in the ultraviolet range and, by applying a heat treatment and an oxygen treatment, the desired superconducting metal-oxide phase is formed with an ordered crystal structure. The heat treatment and oxygen treatment are performed simultaneously during the vaporizing step, whereby a power density of the laser radiation of over 3 J/cm.sup.2 at the target material is provided, the pulse power of the laser is at least 1.5 J/pulse, the temperature of the substrate is raised to 600.degree. C. to 800.degree. C., and an oxygen atmosphere of between 0.02 mbar and 1 mbar is provided.
