Method and apparatus for manufacturing a hygiene paper product includes: providing a continuous paper web, moving the continuous web in the direction of its longitudinal extension, applying a repetitive creative structure relative to the longitudinal extension of the web as a first pattern to the web with a first roll, applying a repetitive functional structure relative to the longitudinal extension of the web as a second pattern to the web with a second roll, while enabling the first pattern to be in register with the second pattern by concurrently controlling the repetitive surface speed of continuous web and the phasing between the first roll and the second roll.

An embossing device for tissue paper converting apparatus, includes a first roll and a second roll cooperating with each other to emboss a web of tissue paper in-between, first protrusions on the circumference of the first roll cooperating with the second roll to form a first nip with a first gap in-between, second protrusions on the circumference of the first or second roll cooperating with the other of the first and second roll as a counter roll to form a second nip with a second gap in-between. The embossing device further includes an adjusting means for selectively adjusting the second gap of the second nip of some or all second protrusions.

The present invention relates to a planar product in which a plurality of fibrous plies are bonded to each other with the aid of an adhesive containing a polymer with units derived from a vinylamine. This adhesive improves wet and/or dry ply bonding. The present invention relates more particularly to tissue products and non-woven products in which this adhesive promotes ply bonding.
