According to the invention, a bass reproduction device is disclosed, with which the sound emission from the membrane (,) to the listening space (,) is carried out solely by way of a displacement volume (,) and at least one sound guidance conduit (,), whose cross section is smaller than the cross section of the membrane (,). A device of this kind has the advantage that for sound emission, only wall surfaces have to be supplied, which merely have to contain the sound guidance conduit(s) (,). The side of the membrane (,) remote from the displacement volume (,) acts on a closed damping volume (,), which can, however, be changed in its size over a great band width. A particularly favorable bass reproduction is achieved if the length of the respective sound guidance conduit (,)&lE;&lgr;/8 of the desired upper cross-over frequency.

In the novel equipment for the stereophonic sound reproduction in the television receiver all essential components, such as loudspeakers, crossover networks, etc., are accommodated in one single enclosure which fits into the space above the picture tube, in which it is mounted.

The moving coil (voice coil) of the loudspeaker is so designed that the loudspeaker will become suitable for automatic production. For this purpose, the moving coil is positioned on a coilform, and as a connecting line extending to the ends of the moving coil there are used flexible ribbon conductors secured to a plastics carrier.
