Ear cushion assemblies, and headphones incorporating ear cushion assemblies, the ear cushion assembly including an ear cushion coupled to a mounting plate, where the mounting plate defines plural openings for a passage of sound, and defines plural openings for fasteners; and where the ear cushion grips an outer circumference of the mounting plate to form an annular, circumferentially-fixed, and substantially airtight sealing surface.

Ear cushion assembly

Active noise-cancelling (ANC) headphones in the form of a part of a headset or as in-ear headphones that reduce acoustic adaptation by providing an electrodynamic speaker in a housing with ventilation openings and an acoustically permeable front panel. These components form a module that can be integrated into ANC headphones, permitting its installation in different headphones without customization. The module reacts to a reduction of the impermeability situation in such a manner, that an impedance change of the speaker takes place below 100 Hz. For example, a microphone and electronics with a feedback filter for active noise cancellation can be provided that form a secondary route between speaker and microphone. In a further development, an evaluation unit is provided which detects and evaluates a change in the impedance of the speaker and adapts the feedback loop.

Active noise-cancelling headphones

An earphone device converts electric signals to audible sound. The device includes an outer area configured to receive a power source. A plug area adjacent to the outer area may be configured to fit within a user's auditory canal. A dynamic transducer reproduces a predetermined frequency spectrum for the user. A sound channel terminating at an output of the dynamic transducer encloses the second transducer.

In-ear earphone

An earphone device converts electric signals to audible sound. The earphone includes a first electroacoustic transducer and a second electroacoustic transducer. A separating part of the earphone is positioned between the second transducer and a sound opening of a plug area of the earphone. The separating part forms a barrier between a first sound path for the first transducer and a second sound path for the second transducer. The first sound path comprises a substantially annular cross-section disposed around the second sound path. The earphone includes a filter disk arranged in the sound opening, in which an acoustic friction is provided for each of the first and second sound paths.
