Methods are provided for the treatment of RSV infections in young children. More specifically, methods are provided wherein polypeptides that bind F protein of hRSV and that neutralize RSV infection are administered to the lungs of young children at specific dose regimens.

Methods of treating RSV infections

An inhalation device, assembly or system can include a kit and a pharmaceutical composition. The device can be adapted for administering therapeutic aerosols to pediatric patients, including neonates, infants or toddlers. The device can further include a vibrating mesh aerosol generator that can be insertable into a flow channel of the inhalation device through a lateral opening, and a valved face mask. The device can be connectable to a gas source through which a gas, such as oxygen, can be received into the flow channel at a low flow rate.

Mobile inhaler device

An inhalation device having a base unit, a mouthpiece, and an aerosol head is provided. The base unit has an air inlet, an air outlet opening, a groove for receiving the mouthpiece, and key lock member(s). The mouthpiece has two segments: a first segment which is insertable into the groove of the base unit and has an air inlet opening and a lateral opening for receiving an aerosol generator and a second segment with an aerosol outlet. The aerosol head has an aerosol generator, a liquid reservoir, and key lock member(s) complementary to those of the base unit. The base unit, mouthpiece and aerosol head are connectible with one another such that when engaging the members of the key lock with the complementary members, the aerosol generator is inserted into the lateral opening of the mouthpiece.

The present invention is directed to the administration of aerosolized particles to specific area of the lungs, and in particular to the targeted delivery of aerosolized pharmaceutical formulations to a specific area of the lungs. More specifically, the present invention relates to devices and methods for depositing aerosolized particles to a specific area of the lungs by regulating aerosolizing parameters of the device. The present invention also relates to devices, systems and methods for disease management, where the aerosolizing parameters are adjusted based on monitoring at least one health parameter.

Device, system and method for targeting aerosolized particles to a specific area of the lungs

The present invention relates to a device for providing an aerosol flow, an air flow or both with at least a compressor for providing an air flow, a nebulization device for generating an aerosol flow and a mixing means for optionally mixing the aerosol flow with the air flow to provide a total flow, wherein the total flow is composed of the aerosol flow, the air flow or both. Further, the device comprises at least a first air channel between the compressor and the nebulization device, at least a second air channel between the compressor and the mixing means and an amplification means for increasing the air flow provided by the compressor.

Inhalation device

A device for the controlled inhalation of therapeutic aerosols comprises means providing individual patient parameters and/or aerosol parameters for the inhalation. The aerosol doses, such as the tidal volume and the respiratory flow, are individually adjusted on the basis of these individual parameters. Thus, the inhalation device may be individually adjusted to the patient to be treated.
