The invention relates to a drilling tool, especially for percussion drilling, which comprises a cutting element () that is configured as a plate () or head and that has at least one cutting edge () defined by a cutting face () and a free face (). The cutting edge () is associated with a first free face section () which is limited in a cutting plane at a right angle to the cutting edge () and parallel to the longitudinal axis (L) of the drilling tool () by a convex bulge () or a convex polygon outline. The vertical height of a rib () defined by the first free face section () and an associated first cutting face section () ranges from 0.1 mm to 1.0 mm.

Drilling tool with a cutting element that is configured as a plate or head

A drilling and/or chiseling tool, in particular for machining materials such as concrete, rock, masonry, and the like, having a hard metal cutting element () contained in the machining end of the tool head, a radially outer, second working region (II) of the hard metal cutting element () being set back in relation to a central, first working region (I) of the hard metal cutting element () and the two working regions (I, II) transitioning into each other via a third working region (III). The third working region (III) is at least partially comprised of at least one partial circumference surface () of at least one conical surface.

Drilling and/or chiseling tool

The invention relates to a drilling tool (), in particular for working concrete, rock, masonry and suchlike materials, having a single- or multi-edge tool head with at least one cutting body () which comprises a central region () which is designed in a roof shape, has rake faces and flanks and is defined laterally by two outer regions () set back in the effective direction of the drill. In this case, the ground surfaces of the central region () form a pyramidal point () while avoiding the formation of a chisel edge.

Drilling tool

The invention relates to a drilling tool (), in particular for working concrete, rock, masonry and suchlike materials, having a tool head with cutting body () which has at least one front rake face (), at least one rear flank ([lacuna]) and at least one front-end cutting edge (), the cutting edge () separating the rake face () and the flank ([lacuna]). In this case, the rake face () is formed by at least two cutting faces ([lacuna]) merging into one another at at least one second cutting edge ().

The invention proposes a drilling tool, in particular rock-drilling tool for rotary and/or percussive operation, in which, for the purpose of improving the drilling properties, the drilling-dust discharge groove is subdivided into at least two discharge-groove sections, each section having its own drilling-dust-carrying surface.

Rock drilling tool with improved conveying

A rock drill which has a cutting tip of roof-shaped design at its front end is proposed. In order to achieve a reduction in the loading of the carbide cutting tip or an increased drilling capacity in particular in concrete, the flanks are subdivided into flank sections in order to achieve a slimmer embodiment of the drill head.

Rock drill

A drilling tool, in particular for rotary percussion drilling preferably of rock, is proposed, with a drill body preferably equipped with cutting tips toward the drilling side and with an axially arranged bore for receiving an exchangeable center drill. In order to carry out easy mounting and demounting of the center drill, the drilling tool is designed in two parts, the center drill being capable of being introduced into the drilling tool on the clamping side.

An annular bit (1) having an attachable center drill (6) is proposed, in which annular bit (1), on the one hand, reliable holding of the center drill (6) in the annular bit (1) is ensured and, in particular, distributions of the cutting segments (3) on the annular bit (1) differing from the 90.degree. symmetry are made possible. This is achieved according to the invention in that the center-drill holder (4) has at least one push-in pin (11) and the wall of the annular bit (1) has at least one recess (14, 15, 16) for accommodating the push-in pin (11), which pin and recess are formed in such a way that the push-in pin (11) is retained in the recess (14, 15, 16) in the axial direction relative to the annular-bit axis in the locked state of the center-drill holder (4).

A drill bit is proposed, in particular for the rotary-percussive drilling of preferably rock, concrete or the like, which includes a thin-walled cylindrical drilling body (106) open to the drilling side and a drill-bit base (20) extending essentially radially and having an axially arranged drill-bit shank (101) for fastening the drill bit. The drill-bit base (20) has an outer contour in the radial direction, which outer contour follows a curve shape which has at least one inflection point. Furthermore, a drill bit is proposed whose drill-bit base (20) has an outer contour which passes through a minimum in the radial direction, the drill-bit base being connected in the rising radially outer curve section of its outer contour to the cylindrical drilling body. Further independent features of the drill bit according to the invention are at least one prominence (19) on the inside of the drill-bit base for crushing the material to be drilled, which prominence (19) projects from the contour of the inside, or a cuttings-discharge flute (109) having a variable helix angle on the outer contour of the drilling body (106).

A drilling tool for rotary percussion drilling including: a drilling body defining: a longitudinal centerline axis extending in a drilling direction; a bore extending in a direction of the centerline axis and having a bore bottom; and a recess extending in a direction transverse to the centerline axis and eccentrically with respect thereto. A centering drill is adapted to move in the drilling direction and has a centering drill end, a centering drill shank and a chucking portion having a flattened clearance on one side thereof, the centering drill shank having an end side cylinder section for limiting an axial path of the centering drill during its movement in the drilling direction, the centering drill extending in the bore of the drilling body and the bore bottom being effective as an exclusive stop for the centering drill end when the centering drill is being subjected to percussion stress. A pin-shaped holding device secures and positions the centering drill in the bore of the drilling body and further extends in the recess and penetrates into the bore at a region of the chucking portion of the centering drill for receiving the centering drill, the end side cylinder section being configured for preventing an insertion of the centering drill into the bore when the holding means extends in the recess.

Drilling tool for rotary percussion drilling

A rock drill for hammer drilling machines is proposed, which has a helical shank and a drill head which is connected thereto and on whose end face are arranged a main cutting tip inclined in the shape of a roof and also auxiliary cutting tips disposed transversely thereto. The drill head has two laterally opposite flats for the formation of drilling dust grooves. In plan view the drill head has a very largely rectangular shape in cross section, an acute angle .beta..sub.1 being enclosed between the main cutting tip and the trailing auxiliary cutting tips.

A drilling tool and, in particular, a rock drill for the creation of breaches in concrete or masonry for the use of drill hammers is proposed, which is configured as a cross drill bit having four cutting fins. In order to optimize drilling capacity, the drilling tool is provided with a cross drilling head which merges in one piece into a conveyor spiral matched to the drill head. A purpose-specific cutting element facing serves to optimize the drilling capacity.

A drilling tool which is suitable especially for clearing drill dust from a drillhole in rock-drilling work is provided. For this purpose, the spiral shank has brush elements (6, 17) which are arranged in the groove bottom of a conventional drilling tool or which themselves form spiral feed coils.

A drilling tool, in particular for use in axially striking drive machines for drilling in rock, concrete or the like, which drilling tool is designed from both a vibration point of view by varying the abrupt changes in cross-section and from a drilling point of view by optimising the transport of the drilling dust. In order to arrange, from a vibration point of view, the abrupt changes in cross section, caused by the flute webs, in asymmetrically arranged axial positions, the inclination of the conveying flute constantly changes its size within a lead. Furthermore, the radial, tangential and axial force vector which acts on the drilling dust constantly changes its size, the radial force vector also changing its direction. In this way, the drilling dust is subjected to a constantly changing acceleration.

A rock drill having a drilling head which, in an asymmetric arrangement relative to the main cutting tip, has at least one additional secondary cutting tip, the angle enclosed between the single cutting edge of the main cutting tip and the secondary cutting tip being formed as an acute angle.
