A delivery of a machine for processing sheet-like printing materials, includes sheet grippers passing through a gripper path during operation, an actuating element adjustable from adjustable basic positions into an extreme position and the reverse and, at locations of the gripper path corresponding to the basic positions and the extreme position, serving for shifting the sheet grippers from a closed, sheet-conveying operating state into an open operating state, a linkage mechanism provided for adjusting the actuating element, and an actuating drive for actuating the linkage mechanism, the linkage mechanism being movable between a predeterminable extreme position corresponding to the extreme position of the actuating element, and adjustable starting positions corresponding to one of the adjustable basic positions of the actuating element; and a machine for processing sheet-like printing materials including the delivery.

Delivery of a sheet-processing printing machine

A rotary printing press for printing on sheets of printing stock will typically have cylinders mounted therein for transporting the sheets of printing stock through the printing press. Such transfer cylinders can typically be equipped with a gripper device for engaging the sheets of printing stock, which gripper device can be formed be a plurality of individual gripping fingers pivot-mounted to the cylinder, with each gripping finger being operated directly and substantially separately from the other gripping fingers.

Rotary printing press

A device for adjusting the release point of the timing of a gripper release in a sheet delivery of a sheet-processing machine, such as a printing machine, is disclosed. A gripper system is driven along a given travel path. The gripper system has gripper fingers for clamping a paper sheet, entraining the paper sheet along the given travel path and releasing the paper sheet at a predetermined position. A landing body with a cam surface is disposed at a stationary support structure and it is operatively associated with a member for releasing the paper sheet which travels with the grippers. The landing body is shiftable on a displacement track for the purpose of adjusting the timing of the paper release. The displacement track has a shape which is adapted to a geometric course of the given travel path of the gripper system.

Device for adjusting gripper timing at sheet deliveries

A stack stop assembly is on a sheet feeder of a printing press having an impression cylinder with grippers disposed thereon formed with respective sheet stops. A row of suckers and a pair of conveyor rollers are disposed between the sheet feeder and the impression cylinder. An uppermost sheet of a stack of sheets is liftable at a leading edge thereof by the row of suckers over and beyond stack stops of the stack stop assembly and being feedable to the pair of conveyor rollers for advancing the uppermost sheet to the sheet stops formed on the impression-cylinder grippers. The stack stop assembly includes swivel bearings supporting the stack stops, respectively, at both sides thereof, each of the stack stops having a journal pin to which a pivot arm is secured.

Sheet-fed rotary printing press for printing on both sides of a sheet includes an assembly of a transfer drum, a storage drum and a sheet turn-over drum, mounted in succession, and located between two printing units, the storage drum having clamping grippers for gripping the leading edge of a sheet being fed from the transfer drum to the storage drum, the turn-over drum having tong grippers for gripping the trailing edge of the sheet at an imaginary straight line connecting the rotary centers of the storage drum and the turn-over drum as the sheet is being transferred from the storage drum to the turn-over drum and as the clamping grippers of the storage drum release the leading edge of the sheet, the tong grippers exerting a weaker clamping force on the sheet than the clamping force exerted by the clamping grippers thereon and, before the tong grippers have gripped the sheet and before the clamping grippers have released the sheet, the distance between the clamping grippers, on the one hand, and the tong grippers, on the other hand, is increased.
