A method for operating a machine control system and a corresponding machine control system uses a portable hand-held terminal for functionally influencing at least one machine controller. The terminal includes at least one emergency stop actuation element for terminating potentially dangerous machine operations. The controller and/or the terminal is adapted for indicating a representation of the control system on the terminal display. The controller and/or the hand-held terminal is adapted for indicating the operational range(s) of the at least one emergency stop actuation element by the terminal display. The controller and/or the hand-held terminal are further adapted for simultaneously representing the operational range(s) of the at least one emergency stop actuation element by selective, fail-safe controlling of at least one lighting device at the hand-held terminal and/or at least one discrete lighting device in or at the at least one emergency stop actuation element at the hand-held terminal.

Method for operating a machine control system, and machine control system

The invention relates to a control system for electrically controlled installations. The control system comprises at least one portable, mobile manual operator-control instrument for display of information and for input of control commands by an operator-control person. The manual operator-control instrument is provided with at least one manually actuatable safety switching element, with which safety element an illuminating device is associated. The control system comprises an illumination control device, which is designed for electrically and/or electronically controlled adaptation of a visually perceptible luminous intensity of the illuminating device.

Control system for electrically controlled installations

The invention relates to a control system for electrically controlled installations, comprising at least one electronic control apparatus and at least one portable, mobile manual held operating unit, and a wireless communication connection between the at least one control apparatus and the manual held operating unit. Furthermore, at least one material coupling means, flexible in terms of form, with a restricted maximum longitudinal extent is provided for selectively establishing and releasing a physical link between the manual held operating unit and a machine-side coupling counterpart. The control system is embodied to release or block supervisory-relevant control commands depending on a coupling state and/or a linkage state of the coupling means.
