A method determines a capacity of a battery cell of a high-voltage battery of a motor vehicle. The method receives at least three open-circuit voltage values of the battery cell; determines state of charge values of the battery cell from the open-circuit voltage values on the basis of a predetermined open-circuit voltage curve; forms at least two pairs of values by combining in each case two of the at least three open-circuit voltage values; determines respective charge throughput values of the battery cell which are specific to the pairs of values by integrating a measured current of the battery cell over a period between two measuring times of the associated open-circuit voltage values; determines respective capacity raw values which are specific to the pairs of values on the basis of the associated charge throughput value which is specific to the pairs of values and the associated state of charge values which are specific to the pairs of values; and determines the capacity on the basis of the at least two capacity raw values which are specific to the pairs of values.

Method for determining a capacity of a battery cell, evaluation device, monitoring apparatus, high-voltage battery and motor vehicle

A control device controls a preconditioning of at least one energy consumer in a motor vehicle and an energy store incorporated in the motor vehicle. The control device is designed to control the energy take-up of the energy consumer and the energy take-up of a charging device incorporated in the motor vehicle such that a difference is generated between the energy take-up of the energy consumer and the energy take-up of the charging device, which is compensated by an energy take-up of the energy store or by a release of energy from the energy store, with the result that the energy store is warmed by the power loss associated with the energy take-up or with the release of energy from the energy store.

Preconditioning of an energy store of a motor vehicle

A method, a selector switch and selector device, is provided for secure position detection of a selector switch, which can be operated in at least two positions, particularly in a vehicle. In the method, a code word composed of a data part and a test part is assigned to each selector switch position. The code word is generated in each selector switch position by a number of switches corresponding to the number of bits of the code word. The data part already indicates an unambiguous selector switch position. In each code word, the test part is determined corresponding to a defined imaging rule from the data part. The test part generated by the switches is compared with the test part formed on the basis of the imaging rule from the data part, and, from a comparison of the two test parts, a conclusion is drawn with respect to a correct or erroneous position detection of the selector switch.
