The present invention relates to electric appliances for personal care, in particular electric shavers, comprising a drive unit having first and second drive components adapted to magnetically interact with each other, and a magnetic shielding at least partially surrounding the drive unit. Said magnetic shielding is formed by structural parts supporting the drive unit and/or transmitting drive movements of the drive unit, wherein such structural parts are made of a soft magnetic material. More particularly, a mounting frame and a transmitter frame together form a magnetic shielding cage which is movable as the mounting frame and the transmitter frame are movable relative to each other.

Electrical hair removal device and method for determining the time behavior of a cyclic motor process during use of the electrical hair removal device with a motor-driven hair cutting unit by measuring the motor current. Parallel to measuring the motor current, the induced voltage of the motor is measured and a timing property of the induced voltage is evaluated, wherein the duration of a time pattern in the induced voltage is analyzed as timing property of the induced voltage. A cutting activity of the electrical hair removal device during use is determined based on the evaluated timing property of the induced voltage, and a force applied onto skin during use of the electrical hair removal device is determined based on the measured motor current and, optionally, on the determined cutting activity.

The present invention relates to electric appliances for personal care, in particular electric shavers, comprising a magnetic linear drive unit having first and second drive components supported for linear displacement relative to each other by a first spring device and adapted to magnetically interact with each other, and a second spring device for movably linking the drive unit to a structural element of the appliance. The first spring device is made from plastics such as long-chained PPS, whereas the second spring device is made from steel.

The present invention is concerned with an epilator for removing body hair. Epilator

The present invention relates to electric appliances for personal care, in particular electric shavers, comprising a magnetic linear drive unit having first and second drive components supported for linear displacement relative to each other by a spring device and adapted to magnetically interact with each other. Said spring device includes a ring element made in one piece from plastic including at least one pair of leaf springs and a pair of cross-bars extending crosswise to said leaf springs and connecting said leaf springs to each other.

A skin treatment apparatus, preferably an epilator, comprising at least one detector for detecting approximation and/or contact with the skin and a control unit to actuate the device depending on the signal received from the detector. The control unit has at least one regulator which increases the speed of the drive unit upon detection of an increased resistance and/or current consumption by a sensor and/or decreases the speed of the drive unit upon detection of an decreased resistance and/or current consumption by a sensor.

Skin treatment apparatus

An epilator having a body and a plucking cylinder which is rotatable about a rotation axis for plucking hair. The plucking cylinder is movable with respect to the body between an extended position and a retracted position. Further, the epilator has elastically deformable elements biasing the plucking cylinder and at least two rollers mounted on the same side of the body as the plucking cylinder with the plucking cylinder interposed between the rollers. When pressing the rollers and the plucking cylinder to a flat surface the force exerted by the rollers exceeds the force exerted by the plucking cylinder.

An attachment for an epilator or an epilator having at least a clamping unit for clamping and plucking hairs that is arranged for driven movement relative to a housing along a hair capture direction is disclosed. The clamping unit has a moveable clamping element having a clamping surface and a hair guiding surface and a fixed clamping element having a clamping surface and a hair guiding surfaced. The moveable clamping element and the fixed clamping element are arranged to be cyclically moveable between an open position in which the two clamping surfaces have a minimal distance such that a gap for receiving hairs is formed between them and a closed position in which the two clamping surfaces abut on each other. The two hair guiding surfaces form a funnel in front of the gap in the open position with respect to the hair capture direction.

An epilator () comprising an epilating unit () for plucking and/or pulling hair () out of the skin () over an epilating width (E). Such an epilator is disadvantageous in that typically not all of the hairs are detected by the epilating unit () and some remain in the skin after the epilation. A subsequent epilation would then be required. In order to solve this problem, the epilator () has a hair removal unit () following the epilating unit () in the direction (B) of use, such that, in at least one operating mode, the hair removal unit () removes the hairs () that have not been pulled out by the epilating unit ().

Epilating device

The present invention discloses a hybrid epilator device that comprises a razor blade having a sharp edge for cutting hairs, an epilation cylinder comprising at least a pair of clamping elements that during operation are actuated by an actuation system between an open position and a closed position so that hairs can feed into the gap between the pair of clamping elements in the open position and are gripped and plucked out from the skin surface when the pair of clamping elements is in the closed position, and a manually operable adjustment mechanism that has a least a first adjustment and a second adjustment such that in the first adjustment and the second adjustment the skin surface can be simultaneously contacted by the sharp edge of the razor blade and an circumferential area of the epilation cylinder. This allows switching between two different epilation efficiencies of the epilation cylinder.

Hybrid epilator device

An electric shaving apparatus including a housing and a shaving head. The shaving head is coupled to the housing by at least one first elastic element and includes at least one first shaving element. The electric shaving apparatus includes in addition an electric motor for generating an oscillatory motion of the shaving head and an oscillatory motion differing therefrom of at least one second shaving element. The electric motor includes two drive components of which a first drive component is adapted to be driven to oscillate relative to a second drive component. One of the drive components is connected to the second shaving element. The second shaving element or a drive part connected thereto is equipped with an elastic connection to the shaving head.

Electric shaving apparatus

An electric hair removal apparatus for removing hair from the human skin. The hair removal apparatus includes a housing adapted to be held in the hand, a mechanically working hair removal device and a motor for driving the hair removal device. Provision is made for a sensor device for generating a signal that depends on the speed at which the hair removal device is moved over the skin during the hair removal.
