A damper includes a damper housing, a fluid chamber in the damper housing, a damping fluid in the fluid chamber, a piston displaceable in the fluid chamber, a piston rod connected to the piston, and a volume compensating device in the damper housing. The volume compensating device compensates for a displaceable volume of the damping fluid when the piston rod is immersed into the fluid chamber, and includes a seal to seal the fluid chamber relative to the piston rod and/or relative to an inner wall of the damper housing, a support element to guide the seal, a spring element to reset the seal after a damping stroke at least partially into an initial position. The spring element, the seal, and/or the support element form a common compensating member having an integral one-piece configuration. The compensating member is configured to bear loosely against a cover for closing the damper housing.

Damper

An actuating arm drive for driving a movably mounted furniture part of a furniture item, includes at least one arrangement consisting of a compression spring and at least one guiding device for guiding the compression spring. The at least one guiding device has an at least partly variable diameter in order to compensate for a radial clearance between the compression spring and the guiding device, taking into account the change in diameter of the compression spring when the compression spring is loaded.

A damping device with damper is arranged on a first part of a piece of furniture or furniture fitting, operable by a second part of a piece of furniture or furniture fitting thus damping a relative movement of both parts. The damping effect of the damper may be deactivated by a switchable coupling switched by a preferably manually operated switch body.

Damping device for furniture components or furniture fitting components

A damper has at least two damping components which are mounted such that they can move relative to each other during a damping stroke. A damping medium acts between the damping components, and at least one actuating element is operatively connected to the first damping component at least during the damping stroke of the damper. A locking device is arranged between the second damping component and a retaining part. The locking device couples the second damping component fixedly to the retaining part during the damping stroke of the damper. During the return stroke of the damper, the locking device decouples the second damping component from the retaining part so as to realize a freewheeling motion such that, during the return stroke of the damper, the second damping component moves together with the first damping component.

The invention relates to a damping device for damping an opening and/or closing motion of a furniture fitting. The damping device includes a restoring mechanism, by which an actuating element of the damping device can be moved into a starting position of the subsequent damping stroke after damping has been carried out. The location of the starting position of the actuating element can be set relative to the damping device by an adjusting unit. The actuating element of the damping device is rotatably supported, and the adjusting unit can be used to adjustably limit the restoring stroke of the actuating element relative to the damping device.

A hinge, particularly for movable pieces of furniture, has at least two stop parts connected in an articulated manner (which is to say a hinge arm and a hinge cup) for fastening to pieces of furniture. The hinge has a damping device for damping the hinge movement, and has a restoring mechanism, by which an actuating element of the damping device can be moved into a starting position for the next damping stroke after damping has taken place. The damping device and the restoring mechanism are disposed as separate components on the hinge cup. The damping device, which has no restoring mechanism, is disposed on a lateral wall of the hinge cup, and the restoring mechanism is disposed on an opposing lateral wall of the hinge cup.

A damper has a cylinder and a piston, the piston having two or more parts. A first piston part is made of a rubber-elastic material forced against the cylinder wall during a damping stroke. A second piston part is made of a material that is stiffer in comparison to the rubber-elastic material. The second piston part as seen in the radial direction lies between an area of the first piston part and the cylinder wall. The first piston part may have at least two sections of different hardnesses over its lengths. The piston could also include a piston part that is radially forced outwards to rub against the cylinder wall during damping, the piston part being made as a solid body of a material with rubber-elastic properties which becomes flattened under pressure, deforming in such a way that a friction seal is created between the piston part and the cylinder wall.

Damper, especially for movable furniture parts

A fluid damper, in particular for moving furniture parts, includes a cylinder and a piston linearly displaceable within the cylinder. The piston has at least one opening for a damping fluid provided in the cylinder, and the fluid damper further includes at least one movable ring disk in the area of the opening(s). The at least one ring disk ( ) is arranged such that it at least partially covers the opening(s) ( ) of the piston ( ) during the damping stroke of the piston ( ).
