A hydraulic actuation arrangement including a double-action working cylinder whose working chambers are in communication via a mutually unseatable check valve with one side of a reversible pressure medium source, respectively, whereby each working chamber is connected to a pressure medium reservoir by a pressure-relief valve or pressurizing valve, and at least one working chamber is furthermore connected to the pressure medium reservoir via an additional pressurizing valve. When an additional pressurizing valve is provided with two different pressure threshold values, the manual force used in emergency operation is therefore clearly reduced after introduction of the manual movement whereby these force levels for both movement directions may be selected independently from the maximum system pressure. A two-stage pressurizing valve includes a flow-through opening in the passage that may be blocked by the valve element whereby the surface of the flow-through opening is smaller than the cross section surface of the valve element.

Hydraulic actuation arrangement

An operating arrangement for movable parts on vehicles, especially rear covers, roof coverings or the like, is provided with a connection of the movable part,on the vehicle,by at least one hinge,a hydraulic piston/cylinder device,and, in all cases, at least one gas spring, wherein at least one hinge,has a lever,which ends in the interior of the vehicle and is connected to the hydraulic piston/cylinder device,also arranged in the interior of the vehicle for initiating a torque. Arrangement for hydraulically operating a rear cover

A method of controlling an operating configuration for moving parts on motor vehicles, especially for trunk lids, convertible tops or similar devices, in which configuration the part to be moved is hinge connected to the motor vehicle by at least one connecting element and is provided with a controllable driving means, where the speed of the moving part (8) is monitored, and the driving means (17, 18) is turned off independently of any end position signals when the speed of these parts drops to a very low level or to zero; the motion of the automatically moving part on the motor vehicle can be stopped automatically or an emergency shut-down function is provided for the opening and closing movement when an obstacle is encountered. For this purpose, the speed of the moving part (8) is monitored indirectly by determining the speed of at least one connecting element (2, 3; 10-12, 16) or driving means (17, 18) which is connected to this part (8).

A power steering system is actuated by a controller which includes a Bowden cable having a core and a sheath. The core is connected directly mechanically to a control mechanism and the sheath is connected hydraulically to the control mechanism by a control valve and an operating cylinder. To balance a reaction of the control mechanism on the core and thus undesired steering movements of the power steering system, a brake unit is disposed between the core and the sheath of the Bowden cable to prevent relative movement between the two by means of friction.

A damping mechanism for decelerating the movement of a piston of a cylinder/piston mechanism includes at least one elastically deformable damping element, which in the installed state is disposed undetachably between two holding regions which are spaced apart in the direction of the piston movement and wherein one holding region communicates with the cylinder and the other holding region communicates with the piston during deceleration.
