A method for producing a motor vehicle that includes producing and painting a bodyshell having a platform composed of metal and a vehicle body composed of metal which is configured for placement on the platform, producing and painting a main floor composed of metal separately from a remainder of the bodyshell, and attaching the main floor to the previously painted platform and/or the previously painted vehicle body.

Method for producing a vehicle

A tool configured to join at least two material layers, of which at least one material layer is in the form of a metal material layer, by a pin. The tool includes a driving-in device which drives the pin through the at least two material layers to be joined, and a welding device which, after the driving-in of the pin, welds at least one first section of the pin to the at least one metal material layer.

The gusset plate is connected to the at least two hollow profiles via a friction-stir weld which run along the ribs or webs of the at least two hollow profiles.

The method includes press-forming a fiber-reinforced load-bearing composite component; forming a film having a class-A surface; and joining the load-bearing composite component as a first layer and the film as a second layer via an adhesive as an interposed third layer.

A door for a motor vehicle that includes at least one thermoformed panel part, a supporting structure to support the panel part, and a holder fastened to the panel part. The holder is to engage in a shaped portion of the supporting structure or in a support element fastened to the supporting structure, so that the panel part may slide on the shaped portion and/or the support element in a direction perpendicular to the direction of engagement.
