A container for transporting hot coke has a cylindrical portion and a narrowing conical portion downwardly extended therefrom. A rotation ring carrying grippers is positioned in the upper region of the container, which is operated during the filling of the container with coke.

A transport container for transporting hot particulate materials, particularly coke, has a wall bounding an inner chamber for accommodating a hot particulate material and having an inner side, a coating arranged at the inner side of the wall and composed of a plurality of coating members, and holding elements provided on the inner side of the wall and having a plurality of openings, so that each of the coating members releasably engages in a respective one of the openings and is thereby held by the holding elements, so as to coat the inner side of the wall.

A cooling device for coke dry cooling, has a housing composed of upper and lower parts connected with one another by a slide joint, and a ring-shaped insert located inside the upper part of the housing and constituted of a metallic heat-resistant material, coated by a wear-resistant and heat-resistant coating layer. The insert is conical and mounted by its upper end portion on the upper part of the housing.
