A microstepper motor which comprises two electromechanical drive elements, especially piezoelectric bending actuators, having effective directions that are perpendicular to each other. These actuators act upon a drive ring to thereby rotate a shaft. The actuators are non-radially hinged to the drive ring via an approximately square shear-flexible and torsion-proof frame structure, the drive ring being arranged inside said frame. The drive according to the invention is compact, the frame and the drive ring being configured as a single injection-molded drive module.

A motor which includes two drive elements, especially piezoelectric bending actuators, having effective directions that are perpendicular to each other. These actuators act upon a drive ring to thereby rotate a shaft. Diagonally opposite securing elements are provided on the drive ring and are used to flexibly suspend the drive ring via respective articulated corner elements on respective fixing elements that are diagonally opposite the respective securing elements. The drive according to the invention is compact, having actuators that are non-radially hinged to the drive ring.

A solid state actuator arrangement comprising an actuator which is configured as a solid state bending actuator and which has a first and a second end section opposite each other, a fastening device for fastening the first end section of the actuator in such a manner that it can still be adjusted, and connections for applying a driver signal to the actuator for adjusting the second end section by bending the actuator between at least two positions, an extension element being fastened to the free second end section of the actuator.

A microstepper motor which comprises two electromechanical drive elements, especially piezoelectric bending actuators, having effective directions that are perpendicular to each other. These actuators act upon a drive ring to thereby rotate a shaft. The actuators are non-radially hinged to the drive ring via a torsion-proof, nested frame-type complex structure (drive module) including an interior drive ring, a frame and a U-shaped outer frame. The drive is compact and, the drive module is configured as a single injection-molded structure.

Information processor and method for the production thereof

A metering device has an actuating unit within a housing in which an actuator is inserted and a hydraulic compensating element. The hydraulic compensating element is connected to the actuator and can be filled with a fluid when subjected to pressure. A first end of the actuator is provided with a first end cap. The metering device further has a stop that is disposed on the housing in the form of a seat, faces the first end cap, and defines a stopping position for the first end cap. The stop maintains a maximum distance between a sealing element and the end cap, the distance being smaller than the actuator traveling distance such that the actuator stroke beyond the end cap is sufficient for opening the valve. The first end cap hits the stop when moving in the direction of the hydraulic compensating element such that the movement is blocked.

Metering device

A motor which includes two drive elements, especially piezoelectric bending actuators, having effective directions that are perpendicular to each other. These actuators act upon a drive ring to thereby rotate a shaft. Two tension-compression bars, which are parallel to an effective direction, are connected to the drive ring, have respective joints at their ends and are connected to the ends of a diagonal bar, relative to which the ring can be displaced in the other effective direction. The diagonal bar itself can be displaced relative to fixing elements to an effective direction via a diagonal suspension. The drive is compact, having actuators that are non-radially hinged to the ring.

A solid-state actuator drive apparatus has&#x2014;a shaft, &#x2014;a pivot bearing for supporting the shaft, &#x2014;a drive body, &#x2014;at least two actuators for the excitation of the drive body and the shaft relative to each other for causing the shaft to rotate relative to the drive body, and&#x2014;a base element, on which these components are attached. Either the drive body is configured such that it has a drive body opening, and the shaft at least leads into the drive body opening, &#x2014;or the shaft is configured as a hollow shaft, and an element of the drive body having an annular or discoid circumference is disposed therein. The drive body is disposed stationary relative to the base element. The shaft is disposed in the pivot bearing and is adjustably disposed in the radial direction of the shaft relative to the base element by the solid-state actuators.

Solid-state actuator drive apparatus

An injection valve for injecting fuel comprises a valve housing () inside of which a drive unit () controls the movement of a valve needle () that is pretensioned by a spring (). The injection valve also comprises a main chamber (), which is provided inside the valve housing, is filled with fuel and accommodates the valve needle (), and comprises a hydraulic bearing for the drive unit (). The hydraulic bearing has a hydraulic chamber () that is connected to the main chamber (), whereby fuel serves as the operating substance of the hydraulic bearing.

Injection valve

A device for controlling a capacitive charge, in particular a piezoelectric actuator () has a signal generator () which is used to control a first end step () which is used to produce a discrete signal on the capacitive charge. Device has a second end step () which is used to generate a continuous signal on the capacitive charge. A counter-coupling of a deviation of an actual discrete signal is produced by a continuous signal required on the capacitive charge.

Hybrid control circuit

The invention relates to an injection valve which has a piezo actuator that is functionally connected to a nozzle needle by a hydraulic transmission device. The hydraulic transmission device is connected to a pressure reservoir by a sealing gap so that the pressure differences between the pressure reservoir and a hydraulic chamber of the hydraulic transmission device are compensated in the long term.

The invention relates to a method and a control unit for operating a hydraulic injection valve, which comprises at least one piezoelectric actuator (), a displaceable component () and a hydraulic element () such as bearing or a transmission system. The use of a drive voltage (U) modifies the length of an actuator (), which makes it possible to control the stroke of the displaceable component (a valve needle). The inventive control unit () produces a polarizing voltage (UB) which pre-stresses the actuator () and whose polarization direction is opposite to the polarization direction of said actuator (). Said invention makes it possible to obtain the greater modification of the length when the actuator () operates in the polarization direction than the drive voltage starts at 0 volts, as it was in practice before. Said invention makes it possible to reduce energy consumption.

Operating method for a hydraulic injection valve comprising a piezoelectric actuator and a control unit

A direct injection valve in a cylinder head () consists of a cylindrical housing comprising the following components: a valve () for dosing a fluid by means of a valve needle (), an actuator () for generating a stroke acting on the valve needle, and a fluid supply to the valve (). In order to minimise the heat transfer from the cylinder head () to the injection valve, an air gap () surrounds the housing of the injection valve, maintaining the housing and the cylinder head at a distance from each other.

Direct injection valve in a cylinder head

An actuator () is connected, on one side, to a valve needle (), and on the opposite side, to a hydraulic piston () pertaining to a hydraulic length compensator. A working chamber () is divided by a tight separating membrane (), into an actuator chamber () containing the actuator () and a fluid chamber () which can be filled with the fluid to be dosed in a pressurized manner while the actuator chamber () and the hydraulic chamber () are filled with a hydraulic fluid. A base pressure can be produced in the hydraulic fluid by means of the pressure of the fluid to be dosed, which is transmitted through the separating membrane ().
