An optical conductor has several spherically curved light-extraction areas on its surface that are arranged in spaced relationship to one another and have a particular height (h) and a particular radius (R) of surface curvature, wherein h/R ratios of the respective height to the respective radius of all light-extraction areas are substantially equal and lie within a range of 0.1 to 0.45. A lighting system comprises one or more optical conductors and one or more light sources for irradiation of at least one light-injection area of the optical conductor, wherein useful light radiated from the front of the optical conductor can be emitted unscattered from the lighting system and/or interference light emitted outside of a useful light path is absorbable by the lighting system. Some embodiments may be particularly applicable in vehicle lighting systems.

Optical conductor and lighting system

An illuminating device for a vehicle includes a carrier module, a flat light guide attached to the carrier module with a plurality of emitting points, and multiple light sources for illuminating the light guide. The flat light guide is concealed with a translucent haptic layer, which is attached to a visible side of the light guide, which, in turn, is covered by a decorative layer. The illuminating device comprises a rope-like light guide, which has an inherent light source and is connected to the decorative layer via a retaining device. This therefore results in a flat arrangement, which can be easily integrated into the interior parts and simultaneously enables illumination over a large surface area. In doing so, additional light effects can be integrated by means of the rope-like light guide. The illuminating device is not visible while switched off, as the illuminating device is covered by the decorative layer.

Illuminating device and interior part for a vehicle

An equipment part may comprise a carrier, a composite film, and a light source. The composite film may be disposed on the carrier and may form a visible side of the equipment part. The composite film may comprise a light-conducting layer into which the light rays emitted by the light source are coupled. A scatter layer may be disposed on a side of the light-conducting layer facing the carrier, with the light rays coupled into the light-conducting layer emitting through said scatter layer. The composite film may comprise a first and a second paint layer, where the first paint layer may be disposed on a side of the scatter layer facing the carrier, and the second paint layer may be disposed on a side of the light-conducting layer facing away from the carrier. The equipment part may be produced via a method for production of such an equipment part.

The invention relates to an interior equipment component for a vehicle, comprising a light emission element for emitting light and a strip-shaped light guide element. The light guide element has here a first surface and a second surface, wherein the first surface is one of the two largest surfaces of the light guide element, and the second surface is a surface which deviates therefrom, and the first surface comprises an input face. In addition, the light guide element and the light emission element are arranged and configured in such a way that light from the light emission element can be input into the light guide element via the input face and can be output via the second surface.

Lighting system for displays in vehicles

A lighting system () for displays, in particular in motor vehicles, comprises: a support (), at least one first lighting device () for a spot-like illumination, which is mounted on the support (), a planar second lighting device () which is arranged on the support () and has at least one cut-out () or one transparent area, in which or below which the at least one first lighting system () is placed, and a transparent cover (), which is arranged spaced from the support () on the side of the support with the first and second lighting devices (), and which has at least one symbol () to be illuminated from behind by the first lighting device ().

The coupling device comprises a displacement arrangement for displacing the two waveguide end surfaces relative to one another parallel to the end surfaces and the arrangement has an expansion element that moves the end surfaces relative to one another on the basis of a spatial expansion and/or contraction of the element. With this coupling device tunable optical multi-channel filters with temperature compensation, optical attenuators and waveguide switches can advantageously be realized in a simple manner.
