An arrangement and method for detaching an adhering charge from an inner wall of a grinding tube, wherein the grinding tube is rotated backwards in a drive-free manner from a pre-determinable, assumed rotary position by the weight force of the adhering charge, where at least one movement state variable of the grinding tube is detected and the grinding tube is braked while being rotated back in dependence on the at least one detected movement state variable in order to detach the adhering charge from the inner wall of the grinding tube, and where the arrangement includes a detecting device, a drive unit, a braking device and a control device.

An arrangement and method is provided for introducing heat into a geological formation (e.g., a deposit present in a geological formation) in order to recover a hydrocarbon-containing substance from the deposit, where at least one underground mine working has been mined in the geological formation and the mine working includes at least one shaft and/or at least one gallery. An electrical conductor is introduced at least partially in the geological formation. The conductor extends in a first conductor piece within the mine working. The conductor has at least one conductor section configured such that, during operation, an electromagnetic field acts by electromagnetic induction on the ground adjacent to the conductor section so as to bring about an increase in temperature, and thus a decrease in the viscosity of a substance present in the adjacent ground. A second conductor piece of the conductor is also arranged in a bore in the ground.

Arrangement and method for introducing heat into a geological formation by means of electromagnetic induction

An apparatus is provided for delivering a substance containing hydrocarbons from a reservoir. The reservoir can be subjected to thermal energy in order to reduce the viscosity of the substance. The apparatus includes at least one conductor loop for inductively applying current as an electric/electromagnetic heater. A conductor of the conductor loop is surrounded in at least one section by a liquid-carrying conduit. The liquid-carrying conduit is perforated such that when a liquid is supplied the liquid penetrates into the reservoir from the liquid-carrying conduit via a perforation.

Device and method for obtaining, especially in situ, a carbonaceous substance from an underground deposit

A device is provided for extracting a hydrocarbon-containing substance from a reservoir. Thermal energy can be applied to the reservoir in order to reduce the viscosity of the substance. The device includes at least one conductor loop for inductively supplying electric current, to provide electric and/or electromagnetic heating, and a fluid conducting device for transporting and introducing a solvent fluid into the reservoir, to further reduce the viscosity of the substance.

Device and method for the recovery, in particular in-situ recovery, of a carbonaceous substance from subterranean formations

A technique is provided for extracting a substance containing hydrocarbon from a reservoir, wherein the reservoir is applied with thermal energy in order to reduce the viscosity of the substance. As per the technique, at least two conductor loops for the inductive energization are provided as electric/electromagnetic heating elements. Each of the at least two conductor loops has at least two extended conductors, which are guided horizontally inside the reservoir. At least two alternating current generators are provided for electric power, each being connected to a respective conductor loop. The technique involves operating a first of the at least two alternating current generators and at least a second of the at least two alternating current generators synchronously with respect to their frequency and with a fixed phase position in relation to one another.

Method and device for the 'in-situ' transport of bitumen or extra-heavy oil

A method for extracting bitumen and/or extra-heavy oil from an underground deposit is provided. The energy for producing the steam and for the electric heating is generated in situ, for which purpose part of the extracted bitumen and/or extra-heavy oil is burned in an industrial turbine with a downstream generator coupled to the turbine. The industrial turbine may be a gas turbine or a steam turbine. In particular the industrial turbine with downstream generator is assigned a waste heat recovery steam generator which serves for generating the steam and accordingly takes the form of a boiler. Through intermediate storage of the bitumen and/or ultra-heavy oil produced it is possible to implement a self-contained closed circuit which operates autonomously, independently of any external energy supply, using approx. 20% of the extracted bitumen and/or extra-heavy oil for the purposes of extraction.

Method for extracting bitumen and/or ultra-heavy oil from an underground deposit, associated installation and operating method for said installation

An apparatus for the in situ extraction of bitumen or very heavy oil from oil sand deposits, and applying heat energy to the deposit to reduce the viscosity of the bitumen is provided. A high-frequency generator feeds electric power to a linearly extended conductor loop at a predefined depth of an oil sand deposit, the inductance of the conductor loop is compensated in some sections or continuously. Advantageously, one of the conductors of the conductor loop may be disposed substantially in a vertical direction above the extraction pipe.

Apparatus for in-situ extraction of bitumen or very heavy oil

An energy system, in at least one embodiment, includes an energy production device for production of energy for the energy system with the aid of an working medium, a superconductor for low-loss conduction of electrical energy in the energy system, and a cooling device for cooling of the superconductor with the aid of a liquid phase of a cooling medium. The liquid phase of the cooling medium is, according to at least one embodiment of the invention, produced in the cooling device by condensation of a gaseous phase of the cooling medium, with the condensation of the gaseous phase of the cooling medium taking place by heat transfer from the gaseous phase of the cooling medium to the working medium. The overall efficiency of the energy system can improved by the heat transfer step.

The system is embodied as an equipment segment and includes at least one cruising speed drive unit, which can be supplied with electrical power from a DC network, and at least one auxiliary drive unit, e.g. a hydrojet, which can be supplied with electrical power from an AC network and can be connected as required. The DC network and the AC network are configured in such a way that power can be mutually transferred.

Disclosed is a ship propulsion system comprising a synchronous machine () with an especially superconducting rotor winding that is to be subjected to intense cooling and a normally conducting stator winding () which is to be cooled. The stator winding () is disposed at least in part inside a support structure () encompassing a hollow cylindrical magnetically soft outer body () and web-type support teeth () that extend in an axial and radial direction. A hollow cylindrical part () of an exterior housing () encloses the outer body (). In order to cool at least some areas of said housing part (), the stator winding () is thermally coupled to water as a cooling medium (K) via the support structure () and the housing part ().

The invention relates to a high-speed, sea-going ship comprising a double hull and a water-jet drive, the latter consisting of at least one pump assembly for generating the water-jet and at least one drive motor for the pump assembly. According to the invention, the pump assembly and its drive motor are located outside the stern area of the ship by using, in part, the space in the double hull.

A boat propulsion system includes at least one propeller, at least one electric motor by which the at least one propeller can be driven, and one converter-fed power supply unit. The at least one electric motor can be supplied with electric power by the power supply unit which includes at least one prime mover and at least one generator powered by the prime mover. The at least one electric motor and the at least one generator of the power supply unit may be embodied as three-phase synchronous machines. In order to reduce the volume and weight of such a boat propulsion system while increasing its effectiveness, at least one of the electric motor and the at least one generator configured as a three-phase synchronous machine, includes a rotating excitation coil made of high-temperature super conductor wire. Each rotating excitation coil made of high-temperature super conductor wire is arranged in a vacuum-tight, insulated cryostat by which the rotating excitation coil made of high-temperature super conductor wire can be chilled to a temperature of 15 to 77 K.
