A marking body, a method for producing a marking body and a method for using a marking body are disclosed. In an embodiment a marking body includes a self-expanding structure of a shape-memory metal, wherein the shape-memory metal forms a tubular structure that has at least two elongated openings along its length that extend no further than from a head section to a foot section of the tubular structure, wherein the tubular structure comprises at least one stripe of the shape-memory metal located between two adjacent elongated openings, and wherein the tubular structure is configured to be compressed when in an application condition and configured to be stretched when in a non-application condition.

Marking body, method for the production and use of a marking body

The present invention relates to a medical instrument (), comprising a tool (), a catheter assembly and a handle (), by means of which the tool () can be actuated, and to a method for producing the medical instrument. The tool () is a wire construction having at least two wire portions (″) and is arranged at a distal end of the catheter assembly. The catheter assembly is formed from an outer tube () and an inner tube (), which is arranged coaxially to the outer tube. Furthermore, the medical instrument () has an optical waveguide (), which extends through the inner tube () and the exit end (') of which opens into a space delimited by the tool (). At least one first wire portion (′) is fastened, at a proximal end () thereof, to the distal end of the inner tube (), and at least one second wire portion (″) is fastened, at a proximal end () thereof, to the distal end of the outer tube (). The outer tube () and the inner tube () are movable relative to one another, and the tool () can be actuated for opening and closing by means of the relative movement between the outer tube () and the inner tube (). The medical instrument () does not have a guide wire for actuating the tool ().

In a device for the installation of a compression sleeve around a blood vessel, including a guide element for holding the blood vessel, and a carrier for holding the compression sleeve in a bent-open state in which the carrier and the compression sleeve are supported at the distal end of the installation device, the installation device includes a push element for pushing the compression sleeve off the carrier while the blood vessel is disposed in the bent-open compression sleeve so that, upon its release from the carrier, the compression sleeve extends tightly around the blood vessel.

A system and method for delivering a surgical clip to a surgical site within a patient's body to compress body tissue is disclosed. In one embodiment for the system of the present invention, the system includes an endoscopic device that has an endoscope cap disposed on a distal end of the endoscopic device. A surgical clip is removably disposed on an outside surface of the endoscope cap. A deployment device is associated with the surgical clip for deploying the surgical clip from the endoscope cap to the body tissue that is to be compressed.
