The invention is directed to a method for measuring an internal thread of a workpiece with a coordinate measuring apparatus and a CCD or CMOS sensor. The sensor records at least two images of a section of the internal thread and the recording conditions for the two images are modified. The data from these two recorded images are used to establish the position, orientation, core diameter and/or the pitch of the internal thread. The invention is also directed to an arrangement for measuring an internal thread of a workpiece and includes a coordinate measuring apparatus and the CCD or CMOS sensor in accordance with the above method.

Method and arrangement for measuring internal threads of a workpiece with an optical sensor

A measuring unit is set up to determine a relative position and relative orientation between the measuring unit and an arrangement of at least three optical elements. The measuring unit comprises a length measuring device, which emits measuring beams at at least three locations spaced apart from one another, and at least one beam directing device set up to direct the measuring beams to optical elements of the arrangement. The beam directing device is controllable in order to guide at least one of the measuring beams to a plurality of optical elements of the arrangement in a time-sequential manner in order to carry out a plurality of length measuring operations in a time-sequential manner in such a manner that, in the plurality of length measuring operations, each measuring beam of the at least one measuring beam strikes precisely one of the optical elements. A total of six lengths are measured in this manner.

A device for determining a position of an object () in a spatial region () comprises a light source (), a light directing device (-), at least one reference signal detector () and a detector arrangement (). The light source () generates a sequence of light pulses with a repetition rate. The light directing device (-) directs the sequence of light pulses into the spatial region () and, as a reference signal (), to the at least one reference signal detector (). The detector arrangement () detects a plurality of light signals () which are reflected and/or scattered by the object () in the spatial region () into a plurality of different directions by reflection and/or scattering of the sequence of light pulses. The evaluation circuit () is coupled to the detector arrangement () and the at least one reference signal detector () and determines a phase difference () between the reference signal () and a signal component of at least one light signal (). The phase difference is determined based on the signal component which has a frequency that corresponds to a multiple of the repetition rate.

A device for measuring a surface () comprises a light source (), a light directing device (-), a detector arrangement () and an evaluation circuit (). The light source () generates a sequence of light pulses with a repetition rate. The light directing device (-) is controllable to direct the sequence of light pulses onto a surface area () of the surface (). The surface area may be selected from plural surface areas (). The detector arrangement is configured to receive at least one light signal (-) scattered and/or reflected by the surface area (). The evaluation circuit () is coupled to the detector arrangement () and is configured to determine a phase difference between a reference signal () derived from the sequence of light pulses and a signal component of the at least one light signal (-), in order to determine a position of the surface area (). An evaluation device for path length measurement configured to evaluate a measured signal representing an intensity of a sequence of pulses of electromagnetic radiation, particularly a sequence of light pulses, as a function of time, after the sequence has traveled through a path length to be measured. The sequence of light pulses is generated with a repetition rate by a radiation source, particularly a light source. The evaluation device is configured to evaluate a first component of the measured signal, which oscillates with a first frequency, and a second component of the measured signal, which the second component oscillates with a second frequency that is greater than the first frequency. The first frequency may correspond to the repetition rate or a multiple of the repetition rate. The second frequency may correspond to another multiple of the repetition rate.

An image is recorded by means of an image recording device, the image being intermediately stored within an image memory and modified and presented to the eyes of the person by means of an image display device being mounted on the head of the person. The display mode is initiated in an interval in time with regard to the image recording mode, the interval in time being manually adjustable.

The present invention is directed to an arrangement and a method for eye examination and/or for determining biometric eye data in which the movement of the eyes is compensated through the use of an eye tracker unit. The arrangement comprises a controllable digital illumination unit and an observation system which are arranged on separate supporting arms. A central control unit has connections to an image recording unit, an optical imaging system, an eye tracker unit and an output unit. Further, transmitter elements and/or actuating drives are provided at the separate supporting arms, at the zoom system and at the magnification changer. The examination can be adapted in an optimal manner to the task at hand by means of the structured illumination patterns that can be generated in a variable manner. Detection of all adjusting parameters relevant for recording can be used for calculations and for reconstructing the pertinent observation conditions. In case of repeated examinations for determining changes, e.g., during the recovery process following eye surgery, the regions can be found again in a simple manner and examined under exactly the same conditions.

An arrangement and method for positioning an ophthalmologic device with respect to the patient's eye to be examined in x-, y- and/or z-coordinates. The device includes a controllable illumination unit, an observation system, an image recording unit, a central control unit, an output unit, an eye tracker unit, and a device for relative positioning. The imaging system of the eye tracker unit has at least two different adjustable magnifications. In positioning the ophthalmologic device, the signal of the eye tracker unit is used to track a measuring mark and/or grid structure projected on the eye, and also to detect the position of the patient's eye with respect to the optical axis of the ophthalmologic device. The inventive solution makes it possible to automatically position the entire device with respect to the eye to be examined, thus simplifying examination and accelerating determination of biometric data.

The present invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for automatic detection, documentation and reproduction of the adjusted magnification. The magnification steps are read off at the rotational axis of the magnification changer, monitored by a control unit and stored for reproducing the magnification setting. For this purpose, a cylinder is arranged on the rotational axis of the magnification changer, this cylinder having a quantity of magnets with radially oriented magnetic fields which divide the cylinder into segments. An arrangement of sensors which are fixedly connected to the housing is located opposite from these magnets for detection of their magnetic fields. The quantity and arrangement of sensors correspond to the quantity and arrangement of magnets. The solution supports a comprehensive computer-assisted control of the instruments and offers the possibility of defined standardized sequences. Further, it is possible to let the magnification step be adapted to the observation task automatically or to ensure remote control capability through voice control.
